Dr Faith has a remarkably down to earth approach to putting many complex intimacy thwarting behaviors into a perspective that provides a place to start moving towards increased intimacy.
It's a bonus that in doing this, the good Doctor's sense of humor may leave you feeling that you knew the answers all along.
Thanks Doc!

It is everything your parents never discussed with you growing up, that they probably should have.
It was exactly what ii was looking for, it helps you work through personal truma. As well as simple exercise to do, with and without your partner, to develop a closer relationship.
I also loves that she makes it very clear this book should not replace counseling and should more be a way to ease into it.
I definitely think it is a little more geared towards millennials and younger, just because it is an open minded book that does use a lot of swearing and abbreviated words.
In a relationship or not this book will help

For some people this would serve as a good introduction to sex and intimacy, especially if you have problems in this area. So I won't discount the value of the content or the knowledge or compitency of the author. She knows her stuff. But...
The biggest downside was an almost desperate, 'over the top' need to sound hip, cool, modern, liberal and contemporary. Some of the language and descriptions of things and people was bordering on childish. Most notably, the use of unprovoked, unnecessarily large quantities of swearing wasn't necessary at all. A couple of profanities is fine to emphasize a point, but they were crowbarred in at every turn.
It's not a bad book. I was just perhaps not the right audience.
Good as an introduction maybe
