I love this author's books, and this is a great book to touch base on coping skills. Of course, she couldn't go into great detail on each skill, but points you in directions to learn more about them. If you don't like cursing, don't listen, but, it adds character IMHO:)

Don't let the garnish diminish from the meal.

I don't usually listen to folks that curse as much as this author. Her delivery caused me to consciously put aside those words and listen more intently to the message. It is definitely 'real talk' that cuts through the bull. Dr. Harper accomplishes her stated intent to "write a useful hot mess of a book, damn it!"
