About this listen
Does your Inner Food Monster manage to wreak havoc on your diet when it breaks free of its cage? Or does it spend as much time outside its cage as it does inside, only depending on who wins the daily argument?
If you answered yes to either of the above you’re going to love this book, because it pulls back the curtain on what is probably the most powerful, yet most frequently misunderstood feature of my previous book Never Binge Again (2,107+ reviews)…food rules!
Good food rules are easy to remember and follow. They are also fun to use, which means you'll enjoy eating again and won't need to feel deprived. They also almost totally remove the necessity for willpower from the weight loss game, and can lock your Food Monster permanently in its cage regardless of circumstance!
But in this book, we didn’t include good food rules, we only included the best ones! Game changers for our most successful customers and listeners. Adopting these rules and/or adjusting your own rules according to the principles described in 101 Best Food Rules can be a life-changing experience which you’ll enjoy and benefit from immensely!

It's projected that in 50 years, one American in three will be diabetic. Many today are well on their way to becoming a sad statistic in the war on obesity, high blood sugar, and the related diseases - including diabetes - that can result from a diet that's seriously out of whack. In his previous best-selling book, Overcoming Runaway Blood Sugar, Dennis Pollock shared his personal experience with this deadly epidemic - including his success at lowering his runaway blood sugar to acceptable levels. Now Dennis offers listeners the next step in the battle.

Story
The day that actress, comedian, and cohost of The View Sherri Shepherd was diagnosed with the Big D - type 2 diabetes - she didn't see it coming. But she should have. Sherri had spent years battling excess weight, ignoring the warning that she was prediabetic, avoiding doctors, and denying some very clear signs that a diabetes diagnosis was imminent. Even watching the disease take her mother's life at the age of 41 didn't sound the alarm for Sherri. But when D Day came, she had a diagnosis in hand and a child of her own....

Horrible Narrator
This book is a great and cheap companion to Never Binge Again. I should have just gotten the Kindle version. Why Glenn himself did not read this.is beyond me. If you have listened to his podcast, he has a great voice! But the narrator here is dreadful. He has a harsh, nasally, strident voice and talks WAY too fast, especially given the subject matter.
I put this on .80 speed and that helped a bit, but the tone of the narrator still annoyed me. Instant retur. I plan to get the Kindle book instead.
