About this listen

Do you eat when you're not hungry? Or when you're angry and upset? Do you eat to control your feelings?

Allen Carr's Easyway is the most successful self-help stop-smoking method of all time. It has helped millions of smokers all over the world to quit and has since been used to treat other addictions such as drinking and gambling. Allen Carr's Easyway method works by unravelling the brainwashing that leads us to desire the very thing that is harming us, meaning that we are freed from the addiction rather than merely restricting our behaviour.

The Easyway method has now been applied to the problem of emotional eating. With Allen Carr's Easyway method, you can eat as much of your favourite foods as you want, whenever you want, as often as you want and be the exact weight you want to be, without dieting, special exercise, using willpower or feeling deprived.

Do you find that difficult to believe? Listen to this audiobook.

Another Great Allen Carr method

As someone who utilized this author’s books to stop smoking and drinking, I have zero reasons to think this won’t be effective. The narration is great but the content is better. If you, in any way, identify as a person with an unhealthy relationship with eating, try it.

Excellent content, horrible reading.

While the content of this book is very helpful, I find it too hard to listent to. This is my 4th audiobook, I use audible to listen to books while driving, and the constant changes in volume in almost every single sentence makes it impossible to set the volume knob to a middle range, I either miss 1/4 of the words or am deafened by shouts of another 1/4, or both.
Along with the way too long pauses between every couple of words makes me way too annoyed to keep listening continuously. Increasing the speed to 1.5 only makes the pauses even more noticeable.
I should have listened to the sample before purchasing it.

I wish one could choose different narrators. With the widespread of AI its bound to happen, hopefully audible implements it sooner than later.

Very helpful

First of all, the review that I saw here makes me believe that the reviewer was having a rather cranky day.

I have been battling emotional eating for over 39 years. I have done tons of self help books and programs. You would think by now, that I've heard it all. This book helped me greatly and has reminded me of great things that I need to constantly remember to stay well. Read it and re-read it as much as you can

Some good points

Some good points on over coming addiction but he gave some poor diet advice. But then that’s not his area of expertise.

Surprisingly good

Honestly, the way he spells it out, I just feel stupid for eating any kind of junk food in the first place

Extremely insightful.

Many revelations into how we trick ourselves. Reads like a detective novel with one clue after another accumulating to the certain identification of the true villain. Read it. Believe it. Do it!

Great book if its your first one

I believe that this book could be super helpful to many people, just like “easy way to quit smoking” was helpful to me. What I didn’t expect is for these two books to be quite so similar. Some concepts were even phrased exactly the same with words switched, e.g. eating vs smoking, food vs nicotine. I don’t regret listening to it though, because every bit of advise helps and yes, same principles can be applied to different types of addiction.

Great tips for conquering bad habits

I listened to this book and turned my life around for about two weeks. Then I went on a vacation and all of it flew out of my head. I just listened to it again. I will probably have to make listening to this book a monthly habit. It’s worth it.
