About this listen

One month to reset your metabolism for lasting fat loss.
One week to discover the carbs that are right for you.

The surprising truth is that we are genetically wired to eat more and move less, the exact opposite of the advice we are often given. Now there is a more customized weight loss solution that works with your body, a solution based not on arbitrary restriction of foods but on what works for you. Developed by former research biochemist, health expert, and best-selling author Robb Wolf, Wired to Eat offers an eating program, based on groundbreaking research, that will rewire your appetite for weight loss and help you finally determine the optimal foods for your diet and metabolism.

With his best-selling book, The Paleo Solution, Robb Wolf helped hundreds of thousands of people lose weight by eating a low-carb Paleo diet, but Paleo is only a starting point, not a destination. Now, he'll share a more customized way of eating that may be the key to permanent weight loss and better health. You'll start with Wolf’s 30-Day Reset to help you restore your body's blood sugar levels, repair your appetite, and reverse insulin resistance. There are more than 70 delicious recipes, detailed meal plans, and shopping lists to aid you on your journey. Wolf also includes meal plans for people who suffer with autoimmune diseases, as well as advice on eating a ketogenic diet. Once you've completed this phase of the plan, the unique 7-Day Carb Test will help you determine what amounts and types of carbs you can tolerate.

No more guessing. Now you can find out for yourself which foods you can and cannot eat, instead of relying on a one-size-fits-all diet. Transform your diet by discovering your personalized weight loss blueprint with Wired to Eat.

Includes a PDF of the Food Matrix, a Test Your Carbs Table, and Recipes for Weight Loss and Beyond.

Excellent Book

Mr. wolf you are a breath of fresh air. Honest, direct and at the forefront. I love how you are one in the food industry being honest how there are ways, science and then what works for you individually. In a day where everyone wants a plug and play solution you deliver a way to self discover what works for the reader. Thank you.

Great exposition & advancement of individual needs

I appreciated the explanation of carbohydrate tolerance testing, application of ketosis as a tool and perspectives/mindset on lifestyle changes.

Great book on an easier approach to "dieting"

My wife and I would listen to this audio book on our morning commutes.

The narrator was quite good, and the author has a sharp sense of humor as well.

The subject matter was presented (and read) very clearly and straight forward.

If you're interested in an alternative method to lose weight and get healthier, that is NOT in line with making some pharmaceutical company or diet fad richer or more popular, than give this book a listen (or read).

We have been beyond pleased and impressed at only 17 days into the "diet" plan offered by this book.

Fantastic! Mandatory listening for all !

Should be mandatory listening for everyone including health care practitioners! Great information in an easy to understand context. Robb Wolf examines food, eating, disease and health from a multifaceted sociocultural, psychological and biological perspective. Valuable information for all ! only criticism; the narrator is very monotone and lacks any prosody. Should have been narrated by the mastermind himself; Robb Wolf! 99/100.

Amazing insight!

Very good listen IMO and would recommend this to anyone looking to jumpstart a new lifestyle. Bummed about him saying it doesn't bode well for crossfit and high intensity activities such as Brazilian jiu jitsu. Other than that, it kept me intrigued throughout and wanting to try out tools mentioned.

The way I eat is not exactly my fault

I like that I was given livable options. Also that I did not have to give up all carbs.

Convergence of Information

Robb's latest book can best be described as an intersection of information pipelines. It compiles information from a variety of sources: Robb's head, paleo research, medical research and various other folks in the ancestral health and functional health fields. I loved the original Paleo Solution book and I think this is a nice update/augmentation.

I particularly enjoy the advice on personal nutrition. Even though I am mostly compliant on a LCHF ancestral diet, I struggle to lose weight. I have grooved toward keto and fasting, observing solid results. But I've been thinking "a life without carbs" will be difficult. I fully plan to take the 7 day carb test to find the real villains in my story.

As for the performance, Kaleo was fine and a good orator. I kept hearing Robb's voice though! As a frequent podcast listener (Paleo Solution) certain phrases jump out and almost seem unnatural coming from not-Robb. This is one case I would have preferred the author narrate his own book.

Overall a great listen and highly recommended. Bravo Robb! Keep breaking down conventional wisdom.
