Invest your time elsewhere

Synopsis of the book: Don’t be angry. Anger begets anger. Slow down.

Doesn’t give many examples or strategies. Just says not to react with anger.

I’m angry at this book (not really, but I am disappointed).

Mediocre, very basic

I couldn’t even finish it all. The advice is very elementary. Not much to be gleaned

Had some contradictory toxic angles

Had some good points, but then it seemed to miss it own points in some of the tactics described later on and in some of its thought process description, but not the most terrible place to start. Just keep reading and listening to more. Also, does not account for the autistic experience. So, if you are Neurodivergent there are better resources out there. Look for Autistic Authors.

Kind of obvious

Good info but kind of self evident. I was hoping for more specific strategies or methods. If you don’t know anything about emotional control or anger it may be very beneficial to you.

Lots of Examples of Anger

There are many examples of anger but not as many examples of what to do about it other than wrote it down, take some breaths, have empathy.

Not what I expected

As many other reviews stated, which I should have read beforehand, this would be very informative for someone who doesn't have much emotional knowledge, but it was all pretty much common sense to me and didn't give me specific strategies to try like I had hoped for.

listening to this might lead to a nap

it probably has good advice but listening to this was like taking a nap.
I'm site the soothing voice helps when angry, but when trying to take in the info a bit more inflection would be helpful

Skip the first half of book

First half of the book basically says, "don't get mad at your kids."
Second half actually provided good info.

Reader

Had to stop listening, couldn't handle the narrator's voice. Maybe the story got better.

Waste of Time

The narrator was very hard to listen to. I thought she must be the author because there would be no way someone would choose this narrator.

The information is all surface level. It doesn’t get down into helpful details. It starts talking about a subject but it’s mainly generalizations, no actual tools except a breathing/mindfulness exercise.
