great series but man did it jump the shark.

I really liked the whole charm thing causing the girls to realize their attraction and how they want to live their lives together.... but when all the magic and crazy stuff started to happen it kind of lost me. it was too. much too fast and it became way too crazy with the whole vampire thing and it was just too much. Also Emily got really annoying in this book. Overall still worth a listen. Even if it's still kinda hard to differentiate speech and thought in many places.

This is different story from what I was expecting

This is a straight up magical fantasy story, and it's not until the third book that you get enough to start to get a handle of what it is. Lots of intense stuff in the third book.

fun twists and developments

this story has far less sex than the second story, but the character and plot advancements are amazing. Forty's writing makes you fall in love with these characters. I can't recommend this series enough!!!

Good series but man that ending

I really enjoyed the series, the ups and downs of it and I thought the narrators were really good but it didn't feel like it had a conclusion. it didn't feel like there was a concise ending. just kind of a nebulous "and then things happened."

there needs to be another book. this can't be the ending.

Better than it has any right to be.

I was fully prepared for this series to follow every conceivable harem trope, and I was totally down for it. was looking for something I could listen to on the periphery while doing other things, but then they went and threw a pretty decent little story into it. Characters are extremely well developed, to the point where it makes up the majority of the series, and then this last one starts opening up into something with quite a bit of potential, even the early stages of world building. If I have one complaint, while the narration is great, she reads several words phonetically. In each book there were 3-4 examples that are just enough to be jarring. She references a car's chassis, and says it as it's spelled. Not a huge problem, but maybe, if you're doing narration for a book, and they use a word you don't know, look up the correct pronunciation. Aside from that one thing, really enjoying the series.

... Why do you do this to me?

the book was amazing and fun. the opening is an amazing reminder as to why we fell in love with the characters. then the rest of the book sets up so many problems to solve it boggles the mind. I NEED book 4. Almost literally cannot wait.

Built More To World

Was expecting originally for this to be the last book with the end of the convention, but a lot of good world building happened. Now expect at least one more book if not more.
