Story
One day, I was at a restaurant with my wife, and as we were finishing up our meal, our server handed us a survey form. Realizing neither of us had a pen, my wife told me to ask the server if we could borrow one to fill out the form. Instead of doing this, I walked to the parking lot, retrieved a pen from our car, and walked back to our table. It would’ve been easier to just borrow a pen, but I opted for the route that involved less social interaction. I did this automatically, without even thinking.

Not Just for Teenagers
This book is not just for teens. I learned things to help with my own worry and anxiety!
One thing I really loved about this book is that it teaches teens about choosing good character. In a world of social media, instant gratification, and endless comparisons, teenage anxiety is worse than it was when I was a teen. I’m grateful for this resource that guides me to be able to help my own daughters navigate making hard choices and transform worry into confidence and focus.

Teaching Teens to Use their Energy Better
What I like about this book is that it tackles anxiety for teens a little different then I have heard about before. Today teens deal with anxiety much more then ever before, and I love how this book steers towards using that negativity energy toward more product things, fueling them towards a better future. Great book!

Solid information
The author has done a great job of laying out a simple-to-follow book with deep understanding and great techniques to help teens understand and overcome their anxiety. I have a teen with severe anxiety, and we have been working for years on techniques to assist her better in certain situations that make her anxious. I found additional techniques in this book that I have started working with her on and have already seen some improvement. The author does a great job of explaining what anxiety is, why it happens, and provides ideas of what could be the underlying issue.
My daughter also has ADHD, so it was very interesting to see some of the symptoms she displays to be on the list for anxiety, as I had always linked it to her ADHD. This book is for teens, but being that she has ADHD, I like to listen to books ahead of time so that we can have conversations about the book and make plans together. Listening to the list of what fear is was very helpful as I think those with anxiety give fear a lot of credibility. Still, the author provides several facts about fears that will hopefully help your teen realize they can control them.
The author provides valuable information for the teens to help them deal with anxiety symptoms, such as headaches, stomachaches, being sick frequently, abnormal eating habits, low concentration, being sensitive about their body or being body conscious, and more.
I highly recommend it for teens as we will continue to use this book to help my teen address and reduce her anxiety.

Saved me hours of searching
I found the material in this book to be very helpful in learning about anxiety and trying to understand what that’s like to battle with. This book could be used as a type of reference guide- to listen to and then come back to and review if you need it.
Would recommend this book for someone who wants to find out more information on anxiety related issues, or to a teen who suffers from anxiety. As someone who suffered from anxiety as a teen, it’s super helpful to take action in empowering yourself by reading books!
The rating I gave is because I found the intent of the author was positive, and the material to be informative and well organized- which is what I payed for! This would have taken me forever to learn about online or elsewhere.
