Strange places. New arcanists. The rise of the Second Ascension.

Volke Savan has proven himself time and time again, but now the others of the Frith Guild want their opportunity. Illia wants to recover a lost runestone, Master Zelfree hopes to learn the magics of the Mother of Shapeshifters, and Adelgis surprises himself with the new depths of his dreamweaving abilities.

But while the Frith Guild prepares for the coming war, the Second Ascension has grand plans for the world. When two more god-creatures are born, dastardly arcanists try their hands at braving the godly lairs. With the Dread Pirate Calisto as a ferry, men like Theasin Venrover will have to outsmart puzzles and traps that put the world serpent’s to shame.

Witness stories from the viewpoints of friend and foe alike, all while the world races to find and bond with the remaining god-creatures.

Great shorts

Great short stories that give a lot of context to characters from the within the main series. which is also amazing by the way.

NOT SEQUEL- EXTRA SCENES AND BLOOPERS

This book is not a sequel. it is a bunch of extra scenes that were edited out of books 1-5. If I'd known that I still would have got it but it wouldn't have been a let down. Sounds like the author was going through some stuff as seen in the pre-book credits, so I'm glad to show my support in buying the book. Can't wait till the next one comes out.

Great Stories to fill Gaps

The stories are great. Fills in a lot of gaps from when characters separate in earlier novels. Also explains why characters chose whatever side they are on. I wish there was a female narrator for the female perspectives, and the voice/intensity chosen for one of the male stories killed me.

Fascinating glimpse of short stories!

A fascinating glimpse into the stories of both allies and enemies! While not essential to the main storyline, this collection of fables adds so much depth to the world and its characters. I loved getting a peek into the minds of people like Illia and Adelgis as they tackle their own challenges. Each story felt fresh and exciting, with enough action and intrigue to keep me thoroughly entertained. A great addition to the series for fans looking to explore the world further!

Loving the new perspectives.

I loved hearing the different perspectives during the series. That last chapter though was pure gold! I wish more books did that because it was fun to listen to. I'd say it was Super Effective at making me love the writing of this book and world even more.

loved the insight into these special moments

these additional short scenes that let you see into the thoughts of the other crew members were really exciting and valuable. this book was another great addition to an amazing series! I know that this is supposed to be for young adults but as a full grown adult I really enjoy this series more than most books out there.
