Short, yet intensely powerful

I hail the author for being so open and honest. I can't imagine it was easy facing these truths, writing them, and having them out for the world to see. The chapters are short, concise, and beautifully written. If anything, I feel like the length made me connect to the revelations deeper, and increased my immersion in the book.

Bravo!

Fascinating. Mind Opening.

I have two autistic nephews, and an autistic brother-in-law who I just love. However, they clearly have issues relating to people, and communicating sometimes. The author has done us all a great service in giving us a real window into the mind and heart of an autistic person without any filters. This is a perspective that is invaluable for anyone who has a relationship, or works with anyone with autism. Thank you!

Great knowledge

In Chicago, I have a dear friend who faces tremendous challenges as she raises a child with severe autism. She has shared with me the immense suffering she endures in various aspects of life, ranging from financial difficulties to strained personal relationships. Astonishingly, within the span of two years, she has experienced five painful relationship breakups. As an outsider, I struggled to comprehend the reasons behind these frequent separations, especially considering her son's severe autism diagnosis.

However, upon listening to "Autistic State of Mind," I gained a valuable glimpse into the world of autism and the immense hardships my friend faces on a daily basis. This book has equipped me with knowledge about autism and provided insight into the unique mindset of individuals living with autism. It is a heartbreaking realization, but one that is essential for anyone seeking to understand, support, or offer comfort to parents raising autistic children. I am deeply grateful for the invaluable information conveyed in this book.

In summary, "Autistic State of Mind" has offered me a profound understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with autism and the ongoing struggles endured by my dear friend. It has shed light on the realities of autism and the impact it has on individuals and their families. This newfound knowledge is of utmost importance for anyone seeking to navigate the world of autism or extend support to those affected. I wholeheartedly appreciate the valuable insights provided by this book.

Very Relatable

My brother is autistic and I have attended school with people with autism. They are often misunderstood due to ignorance. For whoever consumes this book, hopefully, this will bridge the gap between understanding and misunderstanding as I have after listening.

Very Enlightening!

I know several children and adults who are on the autism spectrum, but I’ve not really had a clear understanding of their struggles until now. This audiobook has helped me understand how they see the world and the challenges they face with tasks I find easy. In addition to this being a great book for someone who has a friend or relative with autism, it’s a great listen for those who have autism as well. I learned so much from this audiobook, it was well worth the purchase.

An enlightening account

This was such a wonderful, concise, and relatable listen. It is so refreshing to listen to a book about autism written from the diagnosed person's perspective. It allowed me to gain further understanding of what it involves on a day-to-day basis. It's been a lovely listen that I certainly would recommend to anyone wanting to develop knowledge of the topic through one aspect of the spectrum.

Simply amazing

I love this book. It's straight to the point and completely unapologetic. Quite a bit of it is relatable too, Like fidgeting or needing constant noise to help drown out the inconsistencies so that you can focus, only wearing black socks, and taking a long time to write an email. I especially love that this book is written from the perspective of someone who lives with these instead of by someone who has no personal experience. And it makes sense. It's plain English and narrated by someone who sounds like a real person and not a robot or infomercial.
