Hate to see this end.. but well done

It is sad to see this series end. The last chapter was a good one. You’ll be considering there is no way there isn’t going to be more books and then by the end every thing is buttoned up tightly with the exception of story line. Maybe something in the future will come to close that hanging chad.

Amazing

What an amazing series so sad to see it end. I was so excited and emotional how it ended. Can’t wait for what the author comes up with next.

Tied it up nicely. Now I’m off to reread the entire series and catch everything I missed the first time

Excellent Conclusion

I absolutely loved this series! The author packs so much into each story in this series and this is no exception. Our main character continues to grow and is faced with challenge after challenge. This is definitely a YA series but that is not meant to be a slight. Violence of course but clean otherwise. All the characters are back from the previous book but with new twists and turns. I don't know if I will continue with the White Tower series or not, which supposedly follows this series. Maybe after a while. This story has such a satisfying conclusion, I have to be extra motivated to tackle the White Tower series and as of now, I am not. TGR is fantastic as always. I had just finished Michael J Sullivan's Drumindor and TGR's narration was masterful (as was the story) and I thoroughly enjoyed his reading of this book as well. I am sure I will go back and revisit this entire series but take my word for it, this is not only and excellent story but an outstanding series. Most highly recommended.

Great way to finish a series

Was pretty on par with with the previous books in the series. I really enjoyed this book and was awesome to see most of the loose ends tidied up. I did notice there’s space for another book or maybe more in between this story and the white tower. It’s only a guess about this but I’ll have to wait and see. Another thing I really like. Is about the Authors website, you can go on his page and see where bouts he is with the next book he writing. Overall it’s a great read can’t wait for more books from the man

Great story!!

I enjoyed all the twists and turns throughout this book series. The author developed the characters in a way that was both hopeful and honest. Character choices and the consequences were developed in such a way as to encourage appropriate role models.

Excellent ending to the series

Well, this was the final book in the (long) prequel series that leads us to the next series (The Aldoran Chronicles) - where we start off with an adult Aryion. As usual, I enjoyed the heck out of this book. The sad thing is - at least for me - is that it has been so very long since I read that first book in the next series that my memory is extremely spotty. It's like I remember the gist, but the specific details.....well, that's where I have problems. But, as usual, the normal problem that exists for huge readers like me is that there are way too many books, and much too little time. Do I really want to reread the entire second series? Hmmmm. The answer is that I'm just not sure. And that doesn't even take into account that the last book in that series- that I think everyone pretty much assumed was going to be the final book in the series - well, it was not (and that book just came out recently - in 2024). Soooo, there is still a heck of a lot going on in that series that needs to be dealt with before that series wraps up. Re-reading is just such a major time commitment and all the while my TBR list just continues to get longer and longer. Well, I think I just talked my way into the answer on that question. But... enough of that. None of this really relates to the book that we are discussing.....

I really enjoyed this series and I think this final book it left off at the perfect place. We have followed Aryion all the way from his early childhood and now leave off as his adult life and responsibilities are beginning. He is now 20 years old and his fighting, training and leadership abilities have come to the attention of the King. He has been promoted to head up the new Kings Guard - which is going to be responsible for the protection of the Royal Family.

As usual, we also get to see Aryion still trying to do his part to help the street gangs with the issues that they find themselves in - while also dealing with trying to repair his relationship with Reevey.

It was fun to get to see some of the crew that helped Aryion at the very beginning and somehow, Mr. Wisehart did an amazing job of finding a way to bring ALL of these characters- who would NEVER EVER have any reason to deal with each other in any other circumstance - thrown together in some unusual circumstances. They now are able to meet, and end up helping each other and Aryion. It was all wonderful to see.

This was another winner of a book and as usual TGR knocked it out of the park with his narration. This is not a stand alone and it is definitely not a book that you want to start the series with. If it were up to me, I would have liked to have read this entire series first, THEN start The Aldoran Chronicles. But, unfortunately, I had to read the books in the order and as they were coming out. Mr. Wisehart apparently had the story in his head in the correct order - we just have to wait for it to get out of his head and put on the page. Go figure :)

Seriously though - great series.

Great ending

Worth the wait. I don’t usually enjoy prequels once a series is established. However- the street rats books are gems. This book was a wonderful ending to the prequel. Now let’s get back to the main series! I look forward to the next book.
