Helped me fall asleep quicker

Counting sheep is probably the most well-known method of falling asleep fast. Unfortunately, it never worked for me and my racing brain (insomnia). I have been told to imagine some fictional island, but my imagination is not that vivid. Therefore, I decided to try out an audiobook that contained relaxing stories in hope that would help. Thank God I picked this audiobook of all I have looked at! The stories are not only pleasant and well-written, but the narrator's voice helps me fall asleep much quicker. I am delighted with this – it certainly helped with not only my condition but my overall wellbeing. Now I can get up on time and feel well-rested!

Shows you how to rest well

There is a considerable difference between resting and resting well. This audiobook is fantastic at exploring what can affect your sleep and how to deal with it effectively. I enjoyed the amount of detail in each chapter and section. The author goes in-depth when describing the science of sleep, how to relax your body and mind, and more. I especially enjoyed the introduction, but let me explain why. It was a brilliant listen, thanks to the narrator and exploring the benefits of sleep to our bodies and how self-hypnosis and meditation can help us sleep better. Thanks to this audiobook, I know all of the various ways to relax my body and clear my mind, especially before succumbing to a peaceful sleep.

Visualization for sleep

When you prepare to go to sleep, visualizing things is one of the best things to do if you want to fall asleep quicker. This audiobook has plenty of stories to help you fall right asleep. It is a wide variety: from gardens and mountains to beaches and sunsets. The author includes some classic stories, such as “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves” and even poems too! I appreciate how in-depth this audiobook is. It not only explains the concepts of sleep, meditation, yoga, and many others but gives techniques and tips you can apply to your day-to-day life. One of the hardest things to do is to change your mindset to be more positive. However, the author makes sure to include plenty of stories you can use to combat your mind's negativity and rest! Have good nights, all!

Uni stress vs. sleep

The last thing a student at university wants is to have dreams about exams and the various modules. They are highly unpleasant, and the university's constant stress does not affect my sleep in any positive way. After I purchased this audiobook, I put it on straight away. I left the stories for bedtime, and that was the best decision I have made. I fell asleep in no time at all! Alongside that, I had pleasant dreams as compared to screaming lecturers in an exam hall, haha. I will recommend it to the other students in my class – they seem to need it!

The ultimate guide to relaxation

This audiobook simply has to be the ultimate guide to relaxation and resting well. I do not think there is a guide out there that competes with the author’s depth and research level. They explain the various methods of dealing with stress in detail and outline why we feel stressed in the first place – very insightful! I am also impressed with the fact that they included so many stories in this book – even some classics! That is unbelievably good, especially since it is such an informative and well-written (and well-narrated!) audiobook. I suggest you give it a try and see how much it can help you.

Why did I not get this sooner?

This is a guide that I will forever keep in my heart. I gave this a go, as it was recommended to me by a friend at work. She stated that it had guided her to improve her general sleep and well-being and become much healthier. After listening to it, I can understand why she was so eager for me to try it. I have had the most peaceful nights – I slept like a literal log. I cannot believe how many things I worried about! If I have known that before, I would have cut out a few toxic people and switched jobs ages ago!

Relax and breathe

When you are stressed out, it is easy to forget how to step back from a situation and breathe. I appreciate books and audiobooks such as this one. They make the reader/listener look at what they are stressing about from a different perspective. In particular, this author uses his expertise to guide his listeners to lead a healthier life, with no sleep issues. I have found his advice invaluable in fixing my sleeping patterns and improving my general lifestyle by trying self-hypnosis and meditating. It helps clear your mind and relax your body. When you do exercise and think more positively, the stress reduces, allowing you to have peaceful rest at night.

Helped my husband a lot

My husband is an ex-military. He suffers from terrible nightmares and sleep deprivation (almost to the level of insomnia). I wanted to help him relax a bit more and have pleasant nights as compared to before. This guide was recommended to me, so I purchased it for him. He was very unsure at first, so I listened through it with him. I signed us up for some meditation classes at our local gym, and boy, were they helpful! He sleeps like a baby after an hour of meditation and some lovely stories. Thanks to the author, my hubby is no longer exhausted every day!
