Really a eye opener if you are a people pleaser.
This was a great book, it really opened my eyes to how much of a double edged sword being a people pleaser is. I always thought about being happy but not so much on satisfaction and this book definitely highlighted that. This was a good, helpful read.

I almost discontinued listening, as the beginning sounded a bit mundane. Glad I continued, though, as it turned out to be a very worthwhile experience. A lot of pertinent points were discussed, with valuable lessons learned.

My thoughts: This book was in my Audible library, and I discovered it was going to expire in the Included catalog in 9 hours, so I spent my night reading this book. It was a very good read, and I am saddened to know I can't reread it without using a credit or paying $10-$28. One of the best books I've read on the topic, better than Atomic Habits, as this book focuses on that too.

Now I always say I’m looking for lifetime satisfaction instead of happiness
I believe in setting the right goals for the right outcomes and Dr. Guttman’s book sets the reader up for success from the start by targeting lifetime satisfaction, not happiness.
I’ve been using the strategies Dr. Guttman lays out in this book and have found myself feeling more empowered and confident, which opens me up to greater contentment. Highly recommend!

Excellent Book
This was a truly excellent book that I highly recommend. It absolutely does go beyond happiness and provides us with a number of tools to lead a truly resilient life in the face of adversity. Her personal, educational, and career background allow her to speak from a place of real knowledge only a few of today’s authors can claim. I’ve already pre-ordered my physical copy and intend to go through it with a highlighter and page markers for the sections that have already resonated with me.

Sweet and comforting.
The audio narration of this book takes the cake for calming, maternal, and still interesting while keeping you engaged. The concepts in the book are familiar and the stories very personal to the author, but the scientific, motherly, and modern approach from Guttman is sweet and accessible.
