Tons of Valuable Info

Boxing isn't as daunting as I once thought!

I've always been curious about boxing, but also definitely afraid to delve into the world. It always seemed violent and intense and scary. Then a very feminine and small framed friend of mine started kickboxing and I was like, okay, if you can do something like that maybe I can too.
This book breaks down the ins and outs of boxing, kind of like how a language can be deconstructed in order to be understood (and learned) more efficiently. Who knew yoga was such a good exercise for boxing, and that practicing boxing really helps to hone your concentration? Super cool!

Women who are interested in learning to box either as a way to stay fit or as a method of self defense will find this book extremely helpful. It will cover the fundamental techniques that you will use while training as well as in the ring. If you've ever been interested in boxing and want to learn a little about how to be good without getting completely pummeled at a gym then this is an excellent resource for you. Get your education and training started so you don't feel clueless the first time you enter a gym.

Informative and Comprehensive

I was surprised at all the benefits of boxing, which apparently is becoming a very popular form of fitness for women. The author covers all the basics but also goes into detail about the kinds of punches and when they are used, the best kind of apparel for safety, and the differences between boxing for men and boxing for women. When discussing the muscles, I learned some interesting things about arms and shoulders that aren't often covered in other fitness programs. Mr. Maxwell even talks about nutrition when he highlights the benefits of boxing as a full body workout for burning fat, weight loss, self-defense, and cardiovascular health. Excellent guide, well-explained and narrated, Highly recommended.

Comprehensive

This book will be a massive benefit to any woman interested in learning how to box, whether it be to stay fit or as a form of self-defense. It will cover the fundamental techniques that you will employ both in training and in the ring, and it will also explain how to use them effectively. This is a beautiful resource for you if you have ever had any interest in boxing and would like to learn a little bit about how to be good without getting fully hammered at a gym if you do decide to join a gym. Start your education and training now so you won't feel like a complete novice when you go to a gym for the first time. Recommend it.

Everything you need to know to dive in!

Ive been thinking of getting into boxing for awhile but I’ve been too overwhelmed to start from zero - this audiobook changed all of that for me. I love the hugely vast array of topics essential for beginners to get into boxing - everything from technique, to mindset, to nutrition and supporting your body. Really great compilation of important information
