About this listen

Life was simpler when someone was around to tell him what to do. With a band of Adventurers looking to him for direction, whether he likes it or not, Trent Embra needed to figure out how to lead them.

But how was he supposed to lead when there were so many things Trent hadn’t figured out for himself?

An unidentifiable seed in his Storage, and whispers in his head, Trent points his team west towards the wilds. It was as good a direction as any. Maybe in uncivilized lands, Trent would learn what it meant to be an Adventurer and sort through what mattered most.

I still love this series

I get what people we’re saying about the ending. However good endings leave you wanting more and I do. When is the next book coming out? I can’t wait.
So far the weakest book in the series is book 2 to me. This book rekindled my excitement.

Still good, but majority of it is slow.

Keep in mind that this is a character building book and not a lot happens actionwise.

Good but...

The ratio of story/ combat is too low imo, still a good book but feels a little bit like a filler.

Good sequel very well narrated though there very Less growth for Trent

I believe The books establishes foundations needed for Trent for personal and party growth in the following books. Right in the beginning there is the exiting revaluation of what the strange round object was that Eliora found in the dungeon. I won’t give spoilers though that will establish path for Trent’s personal growth. Then comes the group dynamics which establishes a cohesive party. They seem to have got a new healer at the end as well. The o my comparing I have is that the personal growth for Trent was very limited. Hope JT fixes that in the next book. This is book is 95% about Trent. Hope book 5 comes soon

not as bad as the other reviews said

the story does have a little less action than the previous books in this series ,but we learn more about trent and others in this book. the book does have a trial but it's not fighting based so some perceive it as less interesting , I on the other hand like that we see the team starting to settle into being a team. I also like the character growing in trent not power-wise but as a person. we see how past events play a part in how trent reactions to different situations . ps. this book had me laughing 🤣.

Cool but not much action/fights

There weren’t many fights in this book in total I believe there were maybe 4 or 5 fights. The other stuff was school but it did get a little boring and the fights felt like they were to quick.

Not what I was expecting

This series is still one of my favorites, but this book felt unpolished compared to the shining gems the others have been. The lore and character building were excellent but the action and plot dwindled. I still can’t wait for the next one.
