About this listen

The new twisty, gripping audiobook from B. A. Paris, the author of the instant New York Times and USA Today best-selling titles Behind Closed Doors and The Breakdown

“We’re in a new Golden Age of suspense writing now, because of amazing books like Bring Me Back, and I for one am loving it.” (Lee Child)

She went missing. He moved on. A whole world of secrets remained - until now.

Finn and Layla are young, in love, and on vacation. They’re driving along the highway when Finn decides to stop at a service station to use the restroom. He hops out of the car, locks the doors behind him, and goes inside. When he returns Layla is gone - never to be seen again. That is the story Finn told to the police. But it is not the whole story.

Ten years later Finn is engaged to Layla’s sister, Ellen. Their shared grief over what happened to Layla drew them close, and now they intend to remain together. Still, there’s something about Ellen that Finn has never fully understood. His heart wants to believe that she is the one for him...even though a sixth sense tells him not to trust her.

Then, not long before he and Ellen are to be married, Finn gets a phone call. Someone from his past has seen Layla - hiding in plain sight. There are other odd occurrences: long-lost items from Layla’s past that keep turning up around Finn and Ellen’s house. Emails from strangers who seem to know too much. Secret messages, clues, warnings. If Layla is alive - and on Finn’s trail - what does she want? And how much does she know?

A tour de force of psychological suspense, Bring Me Back will have listeners questioning everything and everyone until its stunning climax.

Not her best book, but ok

I really like Behind Closed Doors and The Breakdown by Paris. This book wasn't as good as those, to me, but ok. the story seemed to all slow in the middle then all of a sudden wrap up.

The ending was rediculous and not in a good way

The ending was so obscure. I was hooked the entire time and then the ending just ruined the story. They could have written so many good possible endings and they chose what they did and took a 5 Star book down to a 3.

excellent book. couldn't stop listening!!

this is the second book I have read by b a Paris. Her writing is outstanding I highly recommend to anyone who like suspenseful Thrillers in the Whodunnit and what's going on.

Not my favorite

I wanted to like this book. It just didn’t have the same level of suspense as Behind Closed doors or The Break Down. It was hard to follow and I kept falling asleep.

Not BA Paris’ best book

I enjoyed this book, but the ending felt sort of anti-climatic and predictable. It was a good story, but not my favorite of BA Paris’ books.

Slow burn but worth it in the end

This one was a very slow burn with a huge wow towards the end. The author did get me with the reveal but I had a hard time getting there. I will admit to almost giving this book up but I am glad I stayed with it to the end. If this book is moving too slow don't give up it was a good if weird story in the end!

Narration by Kevin Hely and Cathleen McCarron both new narrators to me and I thought they both did a really good job their accents weren't too thick and I would be happy to listen to both of these narrators again!

LOVE B. A. Paris, but this was a let down

Very slow, found myself bored and uninvested. The ending was the only "oh my God" moment.
