About this listen

Even with the world on the brink of war, Broccoli Bunch’s bright spirit shines through the darkness, bringing hope and friendship to those who need it most.

Following a simple yet powerful philosophy, Broccoli Bunch shows kindness and honesty to everyone she meets. She always sees the best in people, regardless of who they are, where they come from, and what they’ve done. Her beliefs have won over even the most skeptical and rigid warriors and leaders, making her the perfect builder of bridges between the diverse diplomats attending the peace summit in the kingdom of Sylphfree.

Accompanied by her friends—and fellow Exploration Guild adventurers—Amaryllis and Awen, Broccoli’s eternal optimism is put to the test when she finds herself playing politics. Meeting with suspicious sylphs, cervids, grenoils, and harpies, who all harbor ill feelings toward one another and believe war to be inevitable may be disheartening for most, but Broccoli proves she’s up to the challenge of championing the value of fellowship.

But there’s a warmonger in their midst. The shapeshifting riftwalker Rainnewt has been sowing discord throughout the realm. Once the various species destroy one another, he can purge the Evil Roots corrupting the land and remake the world in his own image.

Since the disagreeable diplomats refuse to believe they’re being manipulated, Broccoli must convince Rainnewt to abandon his plan and let her cleaning magic wilt the Evil Roots without inciting war. But when Broccoli confronts the fiendish flora, she will come face to face with her greatest fear...

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Beat the grind and submerse yourself in these addictive LitRPGs.

Love the character interactions between broccoli and everyone else.
Them: your not suppose to do it that way
Broccoli: but i did and worked so….

The world building and leveling system are generic. The roots dont make much sense either. WHY does cleaning magic work and nothing else?

It’s so broccoli

It’s nice having a book about joy and friendship and kindness. I liked it a lot.

Cute and Fun

I know Broclie would disagree but she was just adorable this entire book from stoping her feet like an agry bunny to shirking to the size of a plush she was adorble though the whole book.

wonderfully adorable

A sweet story with a sweeter protagonist. World building is a little shallow and all the details aren’t necessarily consistent, but if you’re looking for a pleasant read full of friendship and the triumph of kindness over a plethora of obstacles then this series is for you. I enjoyed it immensely.

Cozy, fun, and low stress as advertised

I really enjoyed this book my only problem is that I wish it were longer.

Noooo

So much tooth rotting sweetness. I love everything about this story. Its unapologetically fluffy, a good time if you just want to unwind and smile.

adorable

Still really enjoying this series. The kind and silliness are pretty refreshing and just make you smile. Excited for the next one!

The adorableness continues

Story continues as expected, just as wholesome and pure as it's always been. The plot, tension, and pacing remain lethally fluffy, and are pretty frugal in regards to anything resembling character or conflict. I'm left feeling kind of untethered as not much has happened in the past two books. It lacks a lot of the power escalation most other series have, and tends to be very episodic and meandering. Still, if you liked the previous ones, you will like this one.

Soft recommendation for this one. Also, if you can binge the series back-to-back instead of listening to it at 15 month intervals like I did, it will be much more enjoyable. A lot of my issue is that I forget who half the side characters are.

Light and Fluffy

It's a great cute book. But why must it be so short?😭
I'm looking forward to the next book
