Publisher's summary

Now a Level 3 village, Tine has grown considerably since that fateful day Charles Morris got thrown in Liora by mistake and decided to become its Champion. With threats of uprising behind him, Charles could focus on bringing the Satisfaction and Happiness rates higher than ever, while also adding the basic structures that would generate enough weekly income to keep Tine growing steadily.

But as with the companies he used to run in his previous life, he'll find that the bigger a village gets, the bigger the problems.

Follow our dear champion as he embarks on a delicate mission to switch governments. Follow him as he must select the best candidates for new advisor slots as they open and also find a way to up his Cultural Points in order to unlock new options in the Great Picture...all the while having to deal with a mighty warmonger and a mysterious group of thieves that could very well ruin everything he's been working so hard for.

All hail the world builders good and the badd

All hail the world builders the good in the badd the scheming the plotting and everything else that's goes on in between this is a perfect example of politics religion intermingling and someone who's looked trying to remember The sense of the past will be the sins of the future if we do not remember them and learned by them

Sometimes the champion you're looking for isn't the one you need.

The series delves deeply into the intricacies of city-building games like Civ, Banished, Dawn of Man, and more. Despite the protagonist's robotic approach to business and bureaucracy, there's evident potential for growth and a spirited essence in all his endeavors. If you're someone craving more profound city builder games, this book is a perfect match.

Good story still an interesting concept

A pretty good sequel story, somewhat slow in places definitely a good follow up to the original and a good exploration of the Civ genre.

Adventurous Slice of Life

Just the right hint of danger and adventure in this trade focused slice of life tale. The narrator gave a great Performance. There are parts of the story where the main character could possibly come off as arrogant, but the narrator really expresses the MC’s pensive and quick thinking nature well.

Excellent Continuation of the Story

This was my second time listening through this book (and series) and I love the way the author expanded the scope of the narrative. As an avid, lifelong fan of the Civilizations franchise, this series is right up my alley.
