About this listen

Book three of nine.

Ash’s life is anything but normal these days.

Having discovered his Dao, he’s grown in power. Grown to the point that others are now aware of him and that he could be a danger.

In this world of martial arts, only the strong and the ruthless survive. Everyone else is merely a stepping stone on their path of Cultivation or an obstacle to be overcome. Or knocked down. It’s a world where the strong rule and the weak die.

Utilizing the Hall, the voice in his head that calls itself Locke, those who have aligned with his faction, and all the powers available to him, Ash has begun his own journey of Cultivation.

Except that as a Fated One, his journey is a narrow and winding path between two cosmic forces. Each one vying for dominance.

That doesn’t even take into account the royal family or the Realm Lord.

This is his third step in his life as a Cultivator.

Overcoming his first tribulation and solidifying his Dantian.

Wtf was with that ending. I'm a fan of all of William D. Arrand's work, but this is the first time a book ending of his pissed me off. Be ready to rage at the end.

Freaking outstanding, love this series and this book is no exception. Freaking top notch. Buy it if you have read the rest of the series already.

That’s one of the worst cliffhangers ever. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Looking forward to the next book! The organization forming under Ash never ceases to amaze Ash or myself as a reader, and he is actually thanking Loc for all that she does. Yui's mercantile and financial skills are next level, and all it took was a gold coin at the right time to turn things around for her. the power structure is followable but I wouldn't mind a brief update on what the series has covered so far. Body refiner, mortal, then spirit refiner and that's followed up by several other ranks like empowered mortal? What else lies between the last rank and the emperor's? Him being imprisoned by the emperor at the end is a nice twist, a little excessive as the crime don't fit the punishment. I am wondering will he have to serve out the whole sentence or...will it end up working out for him in every way we can't see yet?

good character growth (spoilers!!??!?)
