About this listen

Damaged Goods is the sequel to Don’t Call Me Hero.

The past few years had been difficult for former Marine Cassidy Miller. She’d left the military, joined the Minneapolis city police, only to voluntarily remove herself from active duty. In the tiny town of Embarrass, Minnesota, she met Julia Desjardin, the distant yet devastatingly beautiful city prosecutor, sparking a romance neither could have anticipated.

Now back in Minneapolis, things are starting to look up for Cassidy. She and Julia have reconciled, and she’s hoping to be reinstated with the Minneapolis police soon. But life is never that simple.

Cassidy can take off the uniform, but she can’t shake the soldier. Her flashbacks of Afghanistan are getting progressively worse, her new police partner resents her existence, and she’s not sure she’s truly forgiven Julia for what happened in Embarrass.

Can she enjoy this happily ever after, or will memories of a not-so-distant past slowly tear her (and Julia) apart?

Horrible reading voice

I have read all the Hero series and I love them. The only complaint I have is the woman reading. She does not match up with the character’s personalities in my opinion. I would suggest reading these books, instead of the audio. That is just my opinion though!

Second listen. Sequel is better than the first.

First of all, Lori Prince, as always is amazing. Second, this is my second listen and I think I was even more into the book than the first time. Also, I am very attached to Julia and Cassidy and I do not think I will ever get enough of the two. Hmm...I might be lying. I will never get enough of Julia. There. I said it.
Now for the second listen of Cold Blooded Lover.
Thank you Eliza Lentzski for Julia and Cassidy.

Absolutely amazing

This two book series is an incredible love story like I have never read before. It tells the story of a Marine returning from war and her attempt to regain her life. She meets a beautiful woman who turns out to be the perfect partner. This story could go on and I hope it does. Lori Prince was flawless. 5 stars all the way.

Three please

Leave them wanting more, and I WANT more. Eliza & Lori are a perfect pairing. Now, if I could just find my Julia, all would be right with the world

Absolutely addicted

If it is even possible, this managed to be better than the first book! I don’t know what I would do without Cassidy and Julia in my world. It will be my pleasure to keep listening to their story.

I love this whole series.

I love this whole series, and can't wait for the rest of it to come out on audible! There's only one issue I have. As a member of the US armed forces for more than 20 years. You don't call a Marine a Soldier! EVER! Soldiers are members of the US Army. Marines are always called Marines. Besides that I love the relationship, character development and the realistic depiction of a returning member of the US armed forces navigating back to civilian life. And how they and those in their life deal with set backs and triumphs. I recommend this whole series to anyone who wants a great book with an engaging story.

Great Flow

Loved the seamless flow from Don't Call Me Hero. Exceptional military reference. I always feel many of these stories should have been extended so I was very excited to begin this series.

Much better than the first!

This is one of my favorite series and I did not like the narration of the first book. Lori Prince totally turned it around in this read and I love it. I hope she does the rest of series because that would be amazing!

Depth of MCs Makes for a Powerful Story

Eliza Lentzski created a story that captures the realities of a modern love story with perfectly imperfect people. Damaged Goods revealed how war and complicated family relationships shaped one couple's love story. Coping with PTSD in honest and realistic terms Damaged Goods brought more understanding and empathy to me as an outsider looking into the realities of a modern day combat veteran. Love, selflessness, and willingness to heal go a long way. This book hit close to home and I am grateful Lentzski showed me an example of how it is possible for people to cope and potentially heal, grow and love in a messy world.
