About this listen

Audiobook five of the best-selling Eden's Gate series!

After the turmoil in the Arena, Gunnar retreats from Highcastle and attempts to maintain a low profile while the heat regarding Reborns subsides.

Avoiding the human cities, he sets out to unexplored lands with guild mates and a potential new recruit. But when his Great Beast goes missing, a simple quest turns into a troubling chain of events that spawns several unanswered questions.

Why is Sora unresponsive? And why are dragons threatening the inhabitants of Eden's Gate?

The king’s health may be postponing Dryden’s plans, but Gunnar’s saboteurs might have disturbed something that could be even more devastating than a Bloodletter invasion.

Can Gunnar mend the thin thread that’s holding the world from falling into chaos, and after more than a month in Eden’s Gate, will he finally cave to the temptations of an elf?

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Beat the grind and submerse yourself in these addictive LitRPGs.

Another good story and another good performance. I am interested to see where the story goes next.

Another good story

I like the premise, and I enjoy most of the book and story, but the protagonist vacillating back and forth is annoying..also, protagonist was a gamer, and constantly forgets that he has a new spell,
but other than that.. want to see where the story goes

hmm, if you like vacillating protagonists

Now I have to wait for the next books in the series. I binge listened to all five within 3 weeks and I'm hooked bad. Great series, right up my ally. I wanna know what happens next! But at least he didn't end it with a cliff hanger like the last four

I'm mad I didn't start this series later

I wont say "Oh its amazing" or anything like that. Frankly every stupid decision made my cringe hard. The thing is I think that's what makes Gunnar feel alive to me. We humans act in our own unique way that defines us and frankly I feel like Gunnar is human. He's not bright but interact with the general populace for a while and you will find hes probably smarter than most. Thing is I don't like Gunnar for what he does right, just the opposite infact. I love Gunnar because he gets stuff wrong and does things in a dumb way but he learns from it. Hes going to fight and frankly hes not the best candidate for whats being put on his shoulders but its best said in a like from Roboute Guilliman for those of you who are total war fans. This is an expert from one of his conversations with the legendary spare marine Dante it comes out to "Don't just recruit from death worlds because you think living and fighting there will make the people stronger. Recruit from the average folk and give them a better life. Help them rise from the poverty and welcome their humanity among the ranks." and that's just it. I feel Gunnar has humanity and compassion. I don't know what Rachel has in store for him, but I feel we will see a hard and saddening time embrace this character and frankly I cant wait to see how he handles it because, hes one of us, hes human.

Cringe but if you love a good story its just that.

I absolutely love Eden's Gate. The fighting system is balanced as well as the magic system. This story holds lots of lore which I love as well. The narrator once again does a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life. I find myself not being able to stop listening.

Great book, lots of lore.

Series is amazing and so much more I am awaiting out of the story but one thing always amazes me is how stupid the main character is made to be when not paying attention or making stupid decisions.. none of us are perfect but one thing is that a half way logical person wouldn’t be so clueless is most of the cases that he comes across.. thank you for making him at least pull his head out once in a while to be awesome:-)

Great book
