About this listen

Most diet and workout books are focused on the wrong things: They focus on WHAT instead of HOW. The leanest people focus on how, on their eating habits, not on fad diets. Diets that rely on willpower and discipline fail. The path to results is made up of eleven small, simple, step-by-step habits. Rotating through phases of metabolic, endurance, and strength workouts yields the best fat-loss results.

  • 1. Almost all diet and workout books are focused on the wrong things - They focus on 'what’ instead of 'how.'
  • 2. The leanest people focus on eating habits, not on fad diets.
  • 3. Diets that rely on willpower and discipline fail. A smart plan wins.
  • 4. The path to results is eleven small, simple, step-by-step habits.
  • 5. Rotating through phases of metabolic workouts, endurance workouts, and strength workouts yields the best fat-loss results.
  • 6. Pull-ups are the strength move for fat loss. A smart, progressive plan can take you from absolute zero, to your first, third, or tenth pull-up.
  • 7. High-intensity workouts are power tools, most effective only twice per year before important events.

Josh Hillis and Dan John know these habit-based diet and workout hacks, and they teach them well. JOSH HILLIS is a nutrition coach who specializes in habits-based, positive changes. LoseStubbornFat, his popular fat-loss blog, has tens of thousands of readers, and his fat-loss and kettlebell-training ebooks have helped people reach their personal goals for more than 10 years. Josh is currently the head coach at PowerHour Personal Training in Denver. DAN JOHN spends his work life blending workshops and lectures with full-time writing, and is an online religious studies instructor for Columbia College of Missouri. His books include Intervention, Never Let Go, Mass Made Simple and Easy Strength, which was written with Pavel Tsatsouline.

Missing PDF attachment.

Great book but there is a PDF portion that is not included with the download (at least I could not locate it). Be aware. I will definitely purchase a print copy. Regardless, I recommend this audio-book

MIssing PDF, Should Result in a Discount!

There were 3-5 chapters that were supposed to be included in the PDF. I paid full price, yet someone's inability to provide the PDF cheated me out of several chapters. I did not receive what I paid for.

Please do one of two things:
1) Load the PDF or provide a link so that I can get what I paid for.
2) Provide a full or partial refund.

BUY THE BOOK!!

Any additional comments?

The info here is quite good. The delivery is mediocre at best. Narration sounds like it was made in someone's home office on their laptop. And there is a LOT of printed info they refer to that is simply unavailable. There are references to the accompanying PDF, but it seems to be hidden well.
Good information, but buy the printed book!

Good information, albeit incredibly repetitive

The principles are sound and the habits they suggest are functional and important to long-term overall health. That said, the chapters by Josh Hillis are unbearably repetitive and I found myself starting to skip to the next chapter halfway through hoping that the next chapter was a Dan John authored chapter. Josh Hillis also repeats the phrase "Lean and Sexy" upwards of 100 times. The judgments Hillis placed on being "lean and sexy" vs. being "skinny fat" or "loose and giggly" weren't really my cup of tea. Dan John, on the other hand, goes past the superficial and is much deeper in his presentation of strong health habits for life.

Audio quality was an issue. Preview before you purchase to decide if you can tolerate the poor audio quality. Also, @audible, where's the advertised PDF download? There should be a credit or refund issued given that the PDF is nowhere to be found.

Lots of Nuggets

I really enjoyed the book. I will warn you there isn’t a PDF file as of 9-26-2019. Some reviews took stars away because of it, but I think it’s still worth 5. I feel this book is a must for anyone out there wanting a good system to lose body fat.

Best diet book you will ever read.

And the last one you will ever need. It has all the answers. No BS. This rules imho. Will read again

Where's the pdf?

The sound quality is very poor. The information conveyed is life changing. However, it is repetitive in some places. Unfortunately, you will not be able to follow along with the well thought out workouts since no pdf is included with the purchase. The exercise program is a required part of the program as Josh repeatedly says. Perhaps, he can be persuaded to put the pdf on his website? I feel really upset about not having access to the workout program. I do not recommend this book because it is incomplete.

Great book

Haven't listened to many books like this. For me I found it full of great ideas and usable plans.

The audio quality was a little poor, but I could tell that from the sample so it was truth in advertising. I would defiantly enjoy more great books like this.
