great read for beginners

I would highly recommend this book to anyone starting a fitness Journey. Also has good information for long-term Fitness folk as a refresher. Narration is awesome I like hearing from the author howerver his delivery is a bit wooden. all in all a great book.

The perfect length

The author does a nice job covering nutrition, weight management, strength training, and supplements in one reasonable length book. So many books add volume via fluff, but this one is perfect to keep the pace of information high. Some sections are too complicated for the audio format - examples are supplement criteria and weight training plans. author includes a pdf with this info, but I enjoyed the approach enough that I'll be buying the full book to use as a reference.

Awesome book but I miss Mike.

This was a great recap for anyone who’s read/listen to BLS or TLS. My only problem is although the narrator is probably a really nice person (lol) and has a great voice, I love listening to Mike Matthews read his own books.

Excellent resource for beginners

This is a great resource for anyone who is new to the fitness space, and or resistance training as a whole. It is also a great resource for people who are looking to do a transformation, and cannot afford the high prices that one on one coaching costs these days.

Powerful

I started with Mike's Bigger Leaner Stronger almost 4 years ago now. The science hasn't changed much, so consistency and persistence have been my best friends. And that was the start of my Muscle for Life! I'm about 20 lbs heavier, and that is solid muscle. I'm more conscious of what I eat, which has always been the biggest obstacle to having the body I want. And I'm healthier and stronger than I've ever been at 48 years old! The program and the logic in this book (and BLS) was transformative for me and continues to be. i've tried other programs but none have been as successful as this one. This is a reasonable approach to building a lifestyle that prioritizes health and fitness. And I'll use the knowledge found her for the rest of my life! Thanks Mike!
