About this listen

Earth is gone. Eden promises a new start for mankind.

Kendra, Andrew, and the other survivors arrive with Lewis Hound’s chosen people at an unfamiliar planet with more questions than answers: how did they get there? Where did all of the advanced technology come from? And is this really Proxima B Centauri?

The colony ship breaks into sections and makes an emergency landing amidst a meteor shower, and Lewis Hound, Eden’s enigmatic leader, goes missing.

Despite their misgivings and the initial chaos, people soon settle into a routine in the fledgling colony. But a growing number of suspicious circumstances lead Andrew and Kendra to doubt what they’re being told, and they begin to think that there might be more dangerous predators about than the ones on four legs.

With new friends and old adversaries, they struggle to find the truth behind a growing web of deceit.

What is beyond the forbidden mountain ranges that surround the valley where they landed? And where is Lewis Hound?

Final Days: Colony is the second book in an epic new series by Jasper T. Scott and Nathan Hystad.

hard to put down

First of all, hats off to Ray Porter for his performance. He always does great with different accents and types of speech. This is the second story in the series that I have listened to and it really was just as hard to put down as the first one. I have to say I didn't see the ending coming but once it happened, I wasn't completely surprised. I can't wait to get the next one and see what future twists and turns the authors can come up with.

Wow! A gripping story by 2 superb sci-fi writers

I have been reading sci-fi for over 60 years and devouring it since I retired these 2 writers , Jasper T. Scott and Nathan Hystad are among the best in the genre. I have read and listened to much of their work and this collaboration is superb!

If you haven’t read the first book, End of Days, then please do that first if you have then strap in the road is about to get bumpy and twisty!

As with all their work the characters are deep there are no “red shirts” here. You will either love or hate them either way they are believable, I might recognize them if they knocked on my door.

The sites are described in vivid detail, it’s easy to put yourself there. The story is unique it seems everything has not been written in the sci-fi genre.

Finally Ray Porter’s performance was excellent! He really bought the story alive with well differentiated and consistent voices. I’ll stop now I don’t want to be a spoiler! Just take my advice you won’t be disappointed!

Good Book and Excellent Narration!

I am really enjoying this trilogy so far. This was a great installment.

I like Andrew and Kendra (although Andrew does hit his head a lot for some reason) I am enjoying all the secondary characters as well, Roland, Valeria, and Tony.

This is a fun Si Fi book. Not hard to follow at all. Great dialogue throughout.

As for the narration, it is PERFECT! I love Ray Porter, he is amazing. All the women sound like women, everyone gets their own distinct voice and his reading voice is very pleasing to the ears.

Another Great Story

Book 2 of the Final Days series is a worthy contuinatiom to the saga. The only possible downside is that it ended all to soon. I hope that book 3 comes out quickly.

S Kaye

Some questions were answered. Really like the creativity used for different creatures. Humans are still human no matter where they are!
Great job on number two.
Again Ray rocks!!!
