About this listen

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today best-selling author Devney Perry comes a second-chance small-town romance.

Talia Eden loved Foster Madden for one year, two months, and eleven days. It was on day 438 that her love died. The day he chose to marry her best friend. The day she vowed never to think of Foster again.

Until years later, when he has the audacity to show up in her small hometown of Quincy, begging for her help.

The ink on his divorce papers is barely dry, yet he comes armed with apologies and promises. She knows it’s all a ploy. Foster is the king of games and secrets. But he’s got delusions the size of Montana if he thinks she’ll help him train for a world championship fight.

Except Talia has forgotten exactly what made Foster famous. The man has dedicated his life to victory. He’s steadfast. He’s determined. And he won’t stop fighting until he’s won her heart.

All of Devney Perry series are so good. I fall in love with the families, towns, and supporting characters. I am eager to hear Eloise’s story next.
Enjoyed Connor’s performance in this narration, however Cindy sounded petulant and whiny at times. It took awhile to acclimate to her tone and style. I listen at 1.3 speed.

Super fan of Devney Perry

I love the Eden family of Quincy, MT and was patiently waiting for this story!!! Dr. Talia Eden has always been the quiet sibling and a workaholic. Then MMA fighter Foster Madden shows up in Quincy with a ring in his pocket. Turns out that our Talia is a bit of a dark horse w secrets!!! Love how the love story of Talia and Foster evolved. There was a lot to forgive, and it was slow going, but worth it. Great HEA…now to wait for Eloise’s story, the teaser is driving me crazy…lol.

Say it with me….awwww

Part of a series about the Eden family set in a Montana mountain town. It’s about second chances and big gestures. There was an underlying story of coercion and a lack of integrity of side characters I didn’t care for. I loved catching up on the previous Eden family members.

I listened via audio and loved the narrating by Connor Crais.

the performance was great, as always! however i'm not a fighting girlie so i wasn't as sucked into this story as the first two but regardless i still loved it.

Foster came to get a second chance with Talia. I like how the Eden family sticks up for each other and love each other unconditionally no matter what. Devney Perry writes such wonderful books. I can't wait for the next one. Connor Crais and Cindy Kay did a great job narrating.

Devney Perry has become an automatic purchase for me. I love her characters. I enjoy that this book has drama without lots of angst. I like that Talia and Foster got to know each other and took time to fall in love again, not just a quick relationship built only on physical attraction. Great story! Great series! The only downside is waiting for the next book!

Narration was really good. Connor Crais has become one of my favorite narrators.

Worth the credit!

Story- 5 🌟

Spice level: 3/5

I have read some not so great reviews about this book. For anyone else reading those same reviews, ignore them. There is no reason to doubt Devney Perry's writing. She is talented! This book was perfection. A lot of the reviews were shaming on Vivi. Was I a fan of Vivi? No, but I still loved this book. I understood the predicaments that landed them where they were.

Garnet Flats didn't have that suspense like Indigo Ridge. This one, much like Juniper Hill, was more contemporary (not complaining at all!). Devney Perry often does a mixture within her book series. I had read other reviews complain about the epilogue and the lead up to Jasper Vale. Seriously, ignore those, too. Talia and Foster, oh, this couple. They orbit around each other, and when they are near, they become the beat versions of themselves. Their souls recognized one another. It was perfection! It's one of my favorite second, chance romance books ever! (and I loved Clover Chappel!) I am so excited for Jasper Vale. really next to the Clifton Forge series. I have loved the Eden family. Each book becomes my favorite. Talia is so sweet natured, and she - if she were a real person - would be someone you would want to be friends with. Foster is kind and protective, yet he gets Tally. He loves her without apology, and like I said, let's her be her. I know I have repeated myself a few times. He is perfect for Tally.

It's such a good book and an incredible listen. Connor Crais and Cindy Kay did a great job! I loved their performances.

Loved the first two books of this series and the narrators, but unfortunately this story was a bit lacking and I did not like the female narrator at all. Might have to switch to the kindle version for Jasper Hale.

Not as good as the first two

I think that this was the best story yet in the series. I was captivated and couldn't wait to see what would happen next.
The narrators were great too. They did a great job voicing the story.
