Enjoyed the book! But y’all need to update the book summary, as it is inaccurate to the actual story.
Illume isn’t searching for “the woman he loves” he is searching for their friend, the NPC turned AI who in the previous book was flung into the new area, where magic isn’t available.
They are searching for her.

Either way enjoyed the change of game mechanics in the new area!

The Witcher games, I feel have a big influence on this book and completely different from the previous books. The leveling system, inventory, items used, and the monster all Witcher influenced. It’s not a bad thing just at times it was like “ hey I know where you got that idea from”. Good listen though.

So much of the Witcher game is in this.....

I like the fact that the story is continuing. A neat aspect of starting over at level 1 and being about to choose one attribute/skill to keep. No magic in this book but it was still great. looking forward to the next.

They should definitely change the summary of the book description. Walked into this thinking one thing and found it to be inaccurate in the book itself. But in a good way. Overall a terrific series from start to finish.

This series of books definitely continues from one to the next. I would not suggest purchasing without listening to previous books.

One thing that bothers me: The author's chosen words. while not officially incorrect grammar, they still drove me crazy. Ex: kneeled (instead of knelt), leaped (instead of leapt)... You get the point.

Great story but must have previous books..

Honestly the first few books were a little weak. The character does stuff out of character and it feels as though the books are for a middle school aged reader. This book starts off in a better direction. Hope it stays that way.
