Gratitude is a choice. If we fail to chose it, by default we choose ingratitude. And once allowed into the heart, ingratitude does not come by itself but with a lot of other seedy companions that only succeed in stealing joy. To not choose gratitude - daily and deliberately - is more costly than we usually realize. Amazing! Read if you'd like to be happier.
I thought I was a pretty positive-minded and grateful person when I started listening to this book. Well, this book helped me realize how much more so I could experience/feel and express my gratitude. For that, I am deeply grateful! I will now purchase the written version (Whispersync AND hard copy) so that I can really study this book. That's when I KNOW it's a great one--when I purchase it in all formats. If you want to feel happier and be a positive influence to others' happiness as well, this is the book for you.

Great content.
The message saves this book from the robotic narrator. I honestly thought at first that audible had an AI narrating it to me. I can say that I got used to it about halfway through and was able to focus more on the content. I read the one star reviews to see if anyone else felt the same way about the narration and found they did, so I was glad to see it wasn't just me 😂 also read that people thought it pushed religion an politics and found that to be untrue. You can read into the title of God as the religious figure of many different beliefs, not just the one you appose. There are many references to various beliefs and that is something I am grateful for! ♥️🙌🏽🙏🏽

A reafirmation of my personal journey
My headlines sums it up. I am extremely grateful to professor Emmins for this simple but deeply pround book. His insights provoked more gratefulness for all I have now. It has been a long hard and painful road at times. After listening to his book I realize that I had already put in practice do many of his wise suggestions even though I had not written them. Recently I had a profound life transforming experience and decided to wtite about it for myself and some close friends. It is not a coincidence that I decided to download this book at this time in my life. I have discovered the power of the written word as a reaffirmation of how far I have come and that the road to happiness actually lies in serenity, peace and deep gratitude for present, past and future experiences. There is always a light and I am never alone. Professor’s Emmons words will accompany me for the rest of my life. In gratefulness and love, a new fan!🙏♥️
