About this listen

Navy SEAL Dan Gillman's wife, Jenn, goes into early labor while stranded in the California desert, as he and most of Team 16 are mission-ready overseas. Meanwhile, left behind with a recent knee injury and faced with impending surgery and rehab, Chief Jay Lopez decides that the timing might be exactly right for a romantic interlude with a pretty fifth grade teacher. Hijinks definitely ensue.

Home Fire Inferno is the second story in a connected trilogy of Troubleshooters short stories and novellas that starts with Free Fall and concludes with Ready to Roll.

what support is all about

Jennilyn goes into labor on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere while accompanying Eden to identify the body of her stepfather Greg. But she’s only at 8 months and in difficulty. Eden can’t reach her local family and friends for help, but can get through overseas.
Meanwhile, Dan is in the Philippines with his Seal Team and they work to assist via phone without making him aware and upsetting him.
Jay Lopez is still on medical leave for his knee and attends a school event for HOBOMOFO aka Hugh aka Bert aka Hubert’s daughter Brianna. Too bad she has a crush on Hugh.
The whole interconnected Seal family and friends support team mobilizes to assist Jenny.
Will Jay ever find his true love?
Lawlor does a good job of narration.
Ewbank is ok.
