About this listen

I'm entering the endgame.

Even as I gain new allies, new gear, and greater understanding of Albertus' true plans, the odds are growing more extreme.

Who can I trust? What is the AI Albertus Magnus trying to accomplish? What happened to archmagus Jeramy, and why is Guthorios massing an undead army so vast that it stretches from horizon to horizon?

Any sane player would quit. Any reasonable person would admit defeat.

But I've got no choice.

I'm going to see this battle through to its bitter end. I'm going to unearth the secrets behind Euphoria Online - or die trying.

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Beat the grind and submerse yourself in these addictive LitRPGs.

Put on your cloak, we are finally stepping out

The seemingly limitless imagination of Phil Tucker continues in this third installment of Euphoria Online. My teenage self and the thousands of hours of MUDding were rapt for the entire book, and I spent the last three hours doing nothing but sitting on the couch and staring into space while the superb Vikas Adams led us through Tucker’s adventure.

While there may be less constant fighting, there is no shortage of epic battles full of NPC monsters and legendary players who have been freed by Chris Meadows as he continues to rebuild Castle Winter. New skills and powers are learned, new spells and armors bought, and new weapons and artifacts discovered along the way.

The world of Euphoria Online continues to unfold and we finally leave the area of books 2 & 3 to discover new magical metropolises. New players challenge our main character and we also learn much greater detail about Albertus Magnus, the AI who created Euphoria Online. Certain NPCs evolve when they eat magical meat, and other NPCs seem to blur the definition of NPC and Player.

Wondering if the saga is finished here, and also whether any future series will come of this world. Would love to know more about the six all powerful champions that were in Euphoria since the beginning, which we barely get to know in this last story.

Great conclusion to a great series!

Wow this was a fantastic listen. One of those audiobooks that I had trouble finding time for, and yet *made* time for no matter how difficult it was to do so.

I love those. :D

I'll keep this as spoiler free as I can, but in this volume, things are all coming to a head, as the real reason for things having happened, or things happening are coming to light. What is the AI Albertus' real goal in creating Euphoria Online? It's up to Chris and his friends to find out! DUN DUN DUN Shenanigaaaannns.

This was absolutely my favorite book in the trilogy, and it's safe to say that I really liked books 1 and 2, so the praise here is high. This one had all kinds of action, and intrigue, and espionage, and near deaths, and what have you. It was very engaging and exciting all the way through. I was immersed in the story from start to finish. I would totally play Euphoria...

...I mean, even knowing the dangers inherent in doing so. I'd be all up in that. Maybe not on Death March mode (okay definitely not on Death March mode...) but all the same, I would be all up in that.

I especially liked the romance subplot that happened throughout the series, because I can relate! I met my husband in an MMO, and so it was nice that there was the inclusion of two players who both had all the feels at each other while killing baddies on the side. :D

Vikas Adam once again nails the narration on this one. He brought all the characters to life, and gave each of them their own accents and tones. He's very easy to listen to for long periods of time, and so it works out when authors I like have books narrated by him. It's truly a win-win!~

All told, this one is another easy 5/5 stars from me. I never thought I would love LitRPG as much as this, but here we are. I enjoyed this series from the start to the end. A great conclusion to a great series!

Fitting Conclusion

This book keeps up with the quality of the previous books. The character development has been great through this series and we see several new additions here. There's some surprisingly emotional parts as well. The end seemed slightly rushed, though it was still fitting and well done.

Narration by Vikas Adam keeps up the standard from previous books. Certainly recommended if you have enjoyed the series this far.

Wow what a series!

This series was the best decision I made to buy! Loved it from beginning to end and sad it’s over. However I’m glad for listening to it and hope you all do the same!

Really good story, amazing voice acting

Like all trilogies, the series/story doesn’t really get started till book 2. I enjoyed the story, but I found myself listening to certain parts multiple times just because the voices and phrases actually brought a smile to my face. Like all trilogies, the ending always seems to happen abruptly.

Fun Listen

Well narrated story. Very fun to listen to and engaging. Little disappointing wining the lottery money cures all problems but reading about some one spending money was not as interesting as the fist books in the series.
