About this listen
We all know love matters, but in this groundbreaking book positive emotions expert Barbara Fredrickson shows us how much. Even more than happiness and optimism, love holds the key to improving our mental and physical health as well as lengthening our lives.
Using research from her own lab, Fredrickson redefines love not as a stable behemoth, but as micro-moments of connection between people - even strangers. She demonstrates that our capacity for experiencing love can be measured and strengthened in ways that improve our health and longevity. Finally, she introduces us to informal and formal practices to unlock love in our lives, generate compassion, and even self-soothe.
Rare in its scope and ambitious in its message, Love 2.0 will reinvent how you look at and experience our most powerful emotion.

He reveals the patterns behind healing and lays out the physical and mental principles associated with recovery: first, we need to physically heal our diet and our immune systems. Next, we need to mentally heal our stress response and our identities. Through rigorous research, Dr. Rediger shows that much of our physical reality is created in our minds. Our perception changes our experience, even to the point of changing our physical bodies.

Each of us has a dual nature: we are light (conscious) and dark (unconscious). The dark side of our personality - the “other,” the shadow side - is made up of what we think is our primitive, primal, negative impulses - our “existential kink.” Our existential kink also drives the dark or negative repeating patterns in our life: always choosing the abusive partner or boss, settling for less, thinking that we’re undeserving, not worthy. But it also is the source of our greatest power.

In Anchored, expert teacher Deb Dana shares a down-to-earth presentation of polyvagal theory, then brings the science to life with practical, everyday ways to transform your relationship with your body.

At work, we’re taught to lead the conversation. On social media, we shape our personal narratives. At parties, we talk over one another. So do our politicians. We’re not listening. And no one is listening to us. Despite living in a world where technology allows constant digital communication and opportunities to connect, it seems no one is really listening or even knows how. And it’s making us lonelier, more isolated, and less tolerant than ever before. A listener by trade, New York Times contributor Kate Murphy wanted to know how we got here.

Both a personal and general meditation on identity and belonging, Daniel J. Siegel’s book combines personal reflections with scientific discussions of how the mind, brain, and our relationships shape who we are. Weaving the internal and external, the subjective and objective, IntraConnected reveals how our culture may give us a message of separation as a solo, isolated self, but a wider perspective unveils that who we are may be something more―broader than the brain, bigger even than the body―and fundamental to social systems and the natural world.

The “Seth Books” by Jane Roberts are world-renowned for comprising one of the most profound bodies of work ever written on the true nature of reality. In this perennial bestseller, Seth tells listeners how we create our personal reality through our conscious beliefs about ourselves, others, and the world. His message is clear: We are not at the mercy of the subconscious or helpless before forces we cannot understand. Seth challenges our assumptions about the nature of reality and stresses the individual’s capacity for conscious actions.

A Full Love Reboot
A scientific approach to love? It makes sense in the 21st century, where love can blossom from a swipe! This book tells how our old method of perceiving love is outdated, and provides sciebtuf and medical data to look into the new way to process "the most powerful emotion."
I would recommend this to anyone who really appreciates the power of love. It will only take you to a newer understanding of yourself through the author's lens. It is interactive with features like a website to monitor yourself while practicing the exercises and meditations mentioned in the book. It made a difference for me.

I appreciate the poetry.
What made the experience of listening to Love 2.0 the most enjoyable?
The narration. The author reads the book. This is many times a big turn off in audiobooks. Being a skilled writer guarantees nothing about one's ability to present what is written. This is a wonderful exception. This book is as much a poem as it is a work of science. The science is good, I'm a natural savant at the subject matter and the science is spot on. However it is as a poem this book shines. The author understands and believes what she is saying. This is important. The book is not about sweeping changes. It is about the cumulative effects of many small changes, small moments of time and love which combined over time change everything. Not quantitatively, but qualitatively. The world becomes a much different place. Understanding this allows the words to be beautiful. It is a beauty intended to share something not typically seen, but important.
What did you like best about this story?
If you've ever wondered why love fails to live up to the advertising, this book tells why. It debunks "true love" in favor of love that is true, love that can exist in our ordinary mixed up world. Truth is compelling. Love, if nothing else, should be truth.
What does Barbara Fredrickson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
As I said before, this is not a "showy" solution. Small steps becoming big things seems counter-intuitive. The author's genuine belief in her work might just break through your pre-conceptions enough for you to try it. To appreciate this book, you have to actually try it.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Completely impossible to make into a movie, though it could make a really good song. I could see a lot of great music coming from this book.
Any additional comments?
Do you want the fantasy, or a new fantasy that can actually work? Do you want the deep inter-connections that love makes possible?

Completely Changed My Perceptions Of Love
I was doubtful, but this book not only changed my perceptions of love, it changed the frequency of love's expression inside and outside of my home. My first experience with positivity resonance was while donating blood. I felt a new connection with the nurse who took my medical history and stabbed my finger. She made me feel valuable, secure, understood and I felt love, nothing romantic, nothing sexual, but physical, intimate, worthy. Her touch, her professional movements, her skill were irresistible, and I loved her for it. It will take me several more listens to more fully understand this kind of love, but I try to get it and give it every day at work, and it has made a big difference in my interactions.

Meditation - improves your ability to love
The book uses a scientific approach to love. Micro moments of positivity resonance = Love
For me it was an interesting concept. something I never heard, but was able to accept and understand. The book also helped me deepen my interest in meditation- a relatively new habit of mine.
All in all, the book explains how science slowly discovers and proves the age old approaches - that are still working - quite effectively in the 21st century.
A nice easy read with great meditation exercises.

Loved this book!
Micro moments of positivity resonance - those words have been swirling around my brain ever since I started listening to this book.
The author’s voice is so lyrical, she reads her words like a poem.
I used this book as a bedtime story to help me sleep when my mind couldn’t settle down from racing thoughts. What better words to play in the background, to subliminally inform my sleep, than a book about the importance of love?
I appreciated the loving kindness meditations. As a student of yoga, I understand the importance and power of meditation.
The scientific analysis of how we, as human beings, require love to survive, resonated strongly in my heart.
I gained an appreciation for how much love I am surrounded by all the time. These small moments of connection that I experience every day are critical to the general good feeling that I have.
The book gave me the words to encourage others around me (my daughter, son, sisters, nephew, mother), to focus on their own micro moments of positivity resonance.
Love 2.0 has the power to change the world, one heart at a time!
This book is worth listening to over and over.

😊Worth reading
I enjoyed this book the first half is more theory in the science behind what she is saying. Initially I like the fact that the author was reading the book but then the second half is the practical meditation stuff one can do. For this the authored a Doppes very whispery voice that drove me nuts. As a yoga teacher I don't turn on a yoga voice the way some do I'm just myself through and through as was the voice of Sharon Salzburg who I studied meditation with as well as the author. Then a colleague suggested that I put it at an increased speed and that helped enormously, at least for me… I'm glad I read the book and I'm sure a listen to it again at some point in my life.
