About this listen

Everything had changed for Zander Greaves over the last few weeks.

He'd gone from being a private military contractor with his squad in the Middle East to being isekai-ed into a different multiverse.

He lost his friends and his lover, Selda, in the same hour of his arrival, sparking in him the mission to kill every single Entoma he could to repay them for his loss. Luckily, an alien named Crish arrived to help Zander adjust to his new reality.

His first few days were a chaotic mess as he tried to adapt, but it was his first day on board the ship Fractured Dreams that Zander discovered what his new life would be. He was one of the lucky one-in-ten-thousand: a person whose body accepted an AI of Antecedent technology. His AI, however, was special, taking on the memories and persona of his former lover, Selda Engel.

With Crish's and AI Selda's help, Zander came up with a mad plan to displace the pilot leader, Shivatin the Rakshasa, and take over that position. He had experience staying alive as a mercenary and used that to forge the fractured crew into a cohesive new whole.

As he was finally taking on the mantle of leader, Shivatin led a mutiny to take the ship from the captain and to kill Zander. The Rakshasa had no clue what he'd unleashed in doing so; Zander led his new team in a repelling action, killing the invading boarders, then pushing on to the bridge to take out Shivatin.

Veldiami, the captain of Fractured Dreams, took it one step further, boarding the other ship that helped in the mutiny to claim as salvage. It only took killing four—including the ship's captain—to secure it as loot.

Left on the other ship, the Righteous, to guide it to the nearest galactic hub, Zander made a deal with the remaining crew. They used the FTL drive to reach the hub that day, meaning Zander would find himself alone on MX Hub for two days before Fractured Dreams and her crew arrived.

What trouble could a human—completely out of his depth in a new universe and on an alien space station—get into before his crewmates arrived?

Awesome sequel

Let me start by saying this is not a space opera. It’s more like a rock show. A lot of good is done in this book we see the advancement of the crew. We get to learn more about the world and there is some spicy hot scenes. Andy does incredible work But that’s to be expected. I buy almost every book she narrates. And Daniel knocks this one out of the park. I wasn’t sure about the beginning of the series but it has me hooked and I’ll definitely buy Book three Tournament ark for the Wynn

Easy to Recommend

right up front I'm simply going to say that I recommend this book to anybody reading this review. when it comes to this author storytelling I'm afraid I can't wait for the book to receive the audio treatment. the upside is that it allows me to double back to enjoy the performance of The Amazing lady narrator who appears to do all of this authors books. our main character in the story is on a space station for this entry into the story. we also have something of a tournament going on that when our main characters new crew shows up participates in with his new tactics. we had a new love interest and progress with the other supporting characters of note. with that I will say that if you're a fan and are not aware, they also has a Blog where he gives updates to what game plan is. binding word 11, which is the last for that story, is set for a December release with the audio summary and January. after that it isAether's Revival. that's the story about the reincarnated godmage and is honestly one of my favorites. then he's got a new series that he'll be releasing that is described as a cultivation series but appears to have high tech. lastly I'm simply going to say Well done to everybody who had a hand and bringing the story to us, the audiobook listeners and I can't wait for what comes next.

A Veteran Soldier in a Universe Full of Amateurs

Zander Greaves is a military contractor (a mercenary) who knows his way around a battlefield, and that's something the denizens of his new galaxy know nothing about. He's going to teach them an eye-opening, expensive, and embarrassing lesson in the realities of battle. The book pulls you in and holds your attention despite some slow spots for Zander's more amorous adventures. The book is fun, and I'm looking forward to some more Blood and Thunder in the upcoming series. DS seldom disappoints.
