ONE BODY. SIX EXPERTS. CAN YOU SOLVE THE CASE BEFORE THEY DO?

Mega-bestselling British crime novelist Cara Hunter makes her big American debut with a wholly immersive thriller like none you've seen before: written as the teleplay of a true-crime documentary, it has the listener puzzling away, reviewing photos, maps, coroner's reports and other evidence as they listen. The exciting multi-narrator audiobook features five actors telling the story from different perspectives. Can you tell who's lying?

"An excellent, wholly original whodunnit! You won’t have read a mystery like this, and you’ll be kept in the dark right to the end." --Gilly MacMillan, bestselling author of The Long Weekend

It was a case that gripped the nation. In December 2003, Luke Ryder, the stepfather of acclaimed filmmaker Guy Howard (then aged 10), was found dead in the garden of their suburban family home.

Luke Ryder’s murder has never been solved. Guy Howard’s mother and two half-sisters were in the house at the time of the murder—but all swear they saw nothing. Despite a high-profile police investigation and endless media attention, no suspect was ever charged.

But some murder cases are simply too big to forget…

Now comes the sensational new streaming series Infamous, dedicated to investigating—and perhaps cracking—this famous cold case. Years later a group of experts re-examine the evidence – with shocking results. Does the team know more than they’ve been letting on?

True crime lovers and savvy listeners, you can review the evidence and testimony at the same time as the experts. But can you solve the case before they do?

Anazing whodunit!

<strong>such a great whodunit!</strong>

I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because I seriously had a hard time reading the layout. Once I purchased the audible it was SMOOTH sailing. It reads exactly how the author intends when it’s in audible, as a script for a show.
As for the book itself, it was amazing!! It’s basically a whodunit in direct correlation to Clue and even the great Agatha Christie’s novels. We follow Guy and his family as they rehash an unsolved murder that happened in their house 20 years previous. Guy wants to do this to lay all questions to rest as his aging mom is losing her memory and has been plagued by what ifs for 20 years.
The ride is wild, so many twists and turns you would never expect and the big reveal is HUGE. I’m happy to say that my guess on who did it was correct, just not for the right reasons.

Different Spin on a Murder Mystery

This was really made for an audio book- and it was a great performance. Imagine you are watching a reality show that is trying to solve a cold case. That is this book. Very interesting and different point of view - I love that the author took that risk. I get tired of reading the same old stories. Lots of twists and turns in this one, with a few being predictable and others coming out of left field. Fun listen - recommend for sure!

Great mystery!

I loved reading this book… I mean, listening to this book… I wish it had come with a way for me to see the characters and their statistics and other information as it does in the physical book. I had to replay the first three chapters 2 or 3 times. And throughout the rest of the book, I found myself having to replay certain parts, so I could completely understand it. Overall, it was a great book, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Great twists throughout the book and a great ending! So how about a sequel?

The plot twist so was so amazing!

I never really liked reading that much until my mom told me that I should start to consider reading more especially because I’m a sophomore in high school yes too young for this book. But I certainly enjoyed reading this book because this book was the best book I’ve ever read. I was reading it in the library, reading it on the way home, reading it the whole day until 1am, I just finished this book. Best book ever and it was so good that I even got goosebumps. 10/10 would recommend I have never seen myself getting into a book and never seen myself be excited to be finishing a novel and it certainly surprised my mom. I would love to read more novels like these definitely going back to the library tomorrow.

Different

Definitely different. I thought I'd love this one as it reminds me of the Lisa Jewell title - None of This is True- it's set up similarly regarding the audio. Murder in the Family is told through a series of television episodes. Honestly, it was a bit hard to follow on the audio as there were too many spoken parts that didn't translate well to audio. All the scene directions were annoying to listen to but would've read better on paper. It's akin to hearing a narrator read the address part of an email- To blah blah, From blah blah, RE: annoying. I find that to be distracting and most of this audio read this way. I found myself getting distracted by all the fluff words. There were also pictures and other printed things that are missed on the audio. This one is better in print.
