Publisher's summary

Second book in the Star Child: Places of Power series.

The raids happen at night. Searches by the police are regular, tearing homes apart down to the nails, the officers' intentions a mystery. This time, it's not SC they are trying to find, but someone else entirely. Nothing will stop them, even if it means traveling halfway across the globe to chase a centuries-old myth of a rare power.

Join SC and his friends as they discover the police's intentions and attempt to thwart their plans. But with a new villain in town, and Darian missing, can they be successful Should they fail, the enemy will become more powerful than they can imagine. And if they succeed, they'll unearth secrets best left hidden by time.

Great sequel to the first, roller coaster of action, and great storytelling. I am glad I kept reading

Liked it more than the first!

Rarely do I like following books of a series more than the first but I loved this book, I saw the author post about the series on TikTok about a year ago and glad I gave it a chance

I really like the narrator.

I liked the superhero ideas of the first book, but it's construction had major flaws. I bought this one to see if the author upped his game. He didn't. Very few can self publish, Leonard Petracci shouldn't. The reasons for protagonist action is rarely made clear, and often nonsensical. The reasons why a main character would express remorse over certain actions make no sense at all. Main characters hiding info from other main characters doesn't seem deliberate, just lazy in how it's written. Get an editor.
