Publisher's summary

Peace is not the human way.

War stirs in the distance, out of the edges of thought. Trouble brews through the land even though a great evil has been quelled.

Garek is a traitor to his kind. A minotaur that has given up war. An example must be set. A horde marches for these lands to claim his life.

Through this all, the farm grows. The attention of many is on this new God-slayer, and they find not a great adventurer, but a farmer, content in his ways. The Gods Above are not pleased with contention.

They demand entertainment.

Well written, good story, good narration.

MC is likable and multifaceted. Good peripheral characters. Well paced. I’m excited for the next installment.

Taurrific!

A very enjoyable book with decent world building and character exploration.

The ending is a proper ending, not a cliff hanger. It's quite satisfying without feeling like its tacked on. There is however definitely space for moo'r in the series, this doesn't feel like The End. I'll be looking for the next.

As to the stuff in the middle? Well I don't want to spoil it. I'm not going to tell you who dies and lives.

Performance: I give it an A. No pesky unremove repeats, edited flubs, or mispronounced words. The mic does pickup the narrators breathing, which is a little distracting.

Exemplar did it again!!!!

This book was so good. I still love. The characters was very pleasantly surprised about the baron. I am so hoping that there is a part three to this book. And I’m very happy about the button Romance in this book. I cannot wait for the other part if there is another part. This was such a great read or listen.

Balance between farming and action

the first book had a pacing that was hard to stay interested in. while a great read, there were very long spaces between instances of combat. the farming portions are great don't get me wrong but sometimes there is such thing as too much detail. this second book has had much better balance of farming slice of life and instances of combat. while I sad that this one isn't quite as long as the first book it was still a phenomenal listen and I eagerly awaiting more.

A thrilling listen from beginning to end

I loved the direction that this book took. The gradual change in the way I viewed certain characters was so well done that I was rooting for someone I previously felt disdain for.

I can't get enough!

I find myself with another great book in this series. For those that enjoy combat and unusual farming, then you will enjoy this series. Thank you Exemplar for another wonderful story, and I'm excited for the next audiobook. Also, the narrator Jonathan Keeble has outdone himself once more. He is definitely one of my favorite narrators. I hope those that enjoy LitRPG's find this story and enjoy the experience. If you enjoy Primal Hunter, Azarinth Healer, or He Who Foghts With Monsters you will enjoy this series.

I enjoyed myself

I’ll start this with the bad in that it wasn’t as good as the first book. That said, there is a lot of potential here. If the author is able to bring back the feel of the first book more I’ll be happy.
