Jaded veteran, badass arsenal, corrupt authority: a recipe for punishment.

Meet Jack, a jaded vet from Earth. During the day he’s a nobody who is shunned and abused. However, at night he’ll grow to be an ungodly powerhouse that would put fear in the hearts of the rich and corrupt. He’ll use every bit of courage, and ingenuity to wreak vengeance on anyone who messes with him or his friends.

And while his living is rough, there’s something more dreadful afoot. People vanish in the night. Portals are opening in the city, unleashing demons, and a great army approaches, seeking to conquer the land. Jack will have to act fast. He’ll need to face all manner of monsters to protect what’s his, yet the worst are not the demons outside the city walls.

I've read a lot of litrpg and I loved nailmaker it was an interesting mix of abilities making Jack strong but balancing it with challenging drawbacks. would love to see more by this author!

unique take and great execution

Story stayed moving loved the visuals and the action.
Would get more of this story line anytime it comes up.

Great MC

The MC is a man who decks himself out in gilded armor use a sword and has Powers like call of the void void locker and plays the role of a vigilante One thing I wasn’t so sure about was the fact that he only surrounded himself with female characters at the start but by the halfway point he had some male companion as well in the end I liked the book and can’t wait for The second one to come out

Little edge lord but it’s all good

The guy reading the story was pretty good and capable, managing to perform pretty much all the characters I believe. But I wasn’t to fond of the main character the story revolves around, a selfish coward of a man, in the place where a hero probably should’ve been.

Meh

Interesting concept and interesting system. First, I must say, whoever wrote in review’s that the main character is OP obviously doesn’t know what that means. it is true that the main character gains abilities fast but that’s always true when you’re at a low level. unfortunately, the main character is not very intelligent, and it becomes obvious as many of the events in the story would not have happened if he has used his brains a little bit. One example is were he is sneaking in to attack somebody and suspects someone may jump out at him and he does not use his metal sensing ability to see if somebody is hiding. Despite the fact, he decided earlier to use it in such a situation like this. This is just one of many stupid decisions he makes to help further the storyline. Many things like this helps to turn this potentially excellent story into only a mediocre plot-line. By the end of the story, I was just hoping it would be over, for I have no further interest in reading anymore in this series.

Not the best but Ok.

this story wasn't bad but it wasn't good either about half way though it I started getting bored and had to stop listening and come back to it.

So so.

The Story is decent but not a lot happens. the main character has interesting abilities but he tends to self sabotage quite a bit. It's written to work out for him anyway even though he shoots himself in the foot whenever he gets the chance.

There's a pretty clear example early on when he realizes he's missing a hand because his previous body's owner was a thief but he doesn't do anything to hide the fact he's missing a hand. He's aware of the issue, but doesn't act on it in any way until he's thrown into prison much later after getting beaten up several times as a known thief. In the same vein he doesn't hide his identity until he gets in trouble several times for not hiding his identity when it should be obvious to do so.

Then there's his abilities... He chooses flashy abilities that gives him more weaknesses instead of boosting his stats or at least just capitalizing on his overpowered boosting skill to get to a level where the drawbacks aren't an issue.

It seems this author loves to write about overpowered boosting skills and having the main character be weak most of the time. to keep this narrative going the main character has to choose more of the same.

There's a choice between have an extra 9 to Strength or having his boosting skill 13 hours instead of twelve.... sure let's go with the one that keeps leaving you vulnerable for 11 hours a day... great choice...

The whole story takes place over there period of a work week so not much actually happens. It's well written though and it's a shame that it's so short.

pretty good but short.

Wish the book would have been longer, OP when everyone around is OP too well makes for good Fights. I enjoyed the story and the fast progression, Worth the Listen. Narration was well done!

Good!
