Allie Kirkland has never been one to take wild risks. But when she's offered a costuming assistant's job on a docudrama in the hills near Moses Lake, she jumps at the chance. She's always dreamed of following in her director-father's footsteps, and the reenactment of the legendary frontier settlement of Wildwood is a first step. The family expectations will have to wait. Story
From the 1920s to 1950, Georgia Tann ran a black-market baby business at the Tennessee Children’s Home Society in Memphis. The publication of Lisa Wingate’s novel Before We Were Yours brought new awareness of Tann’s lucrative career in child trafficking. Adoptees who knew little about their pasts gained insight into the startling facts behind their family histories. Encouraged by their contact with Wingate and award-winning journalist Judy Christie, who documented the stories of 15 adoptees in this book, many determined Tann survivors set out to trace their roots.

Story
Lark Smith has always had a plan for her life: find a fantastic guy, create a marriage as blissful as her parents’, pop out a couple of kids, and build a rewarding career as an oncologist. Things aren’t going so well. For one, the guy didn’t work out. Theoretically, she’d love to find someone else, but it hasn’t happened. Two, she’s just been transferred out of Oncology for being too emotional. (Is it her fault she’s a weeper?) Three, her parents just split up. Deviating from the plan was … well, not in the plan. A potential solution comes from the foul-tempered surgeon Lorenzo Santini.

So romantic and down home
Although this book is too similar to book 1&2 in the series I love the sexy gentleman cowboy. The narrator did a better job in this one than she did in the last two. Little bit of God, down home Cookin’, family and true love ❤️ just what I needed to lighten up this pandemic

I enjoy listening to this performer, as well as I have enjoyed all of Lisa Wingate books to date. There is a little bit of faith wrapped up in each one, and a lot of things to contemplate such as the quotes Thank you for another wonderful book.

Great finish to trilogy
Over the Moon is by far the best in this trilogy by Lisa Wingate. I enjoyed Texas Cooking and Lone Star Cafe but I laughed out loud while listening to this story. Very entertaining. There were times when I wanted to shake “Practical Lindsey” but still adored this book.

My first Wingate book, this listen was unexpectedly satisfying. I chose it because it was free but continued because it was hilarious and beautifully descriptive. The narrator was a perfect match.
