Drives me nuts when the author has to put a gay/bisexual/trans people in a story just to check a box. Sorry, but a "trans woman" who is 6ft, obese and has a beard doesn't make a credible inconspicuous spy.

Coban may be my favorite writer as he masterly weaves complex plots without plot holes. Along the way are deep insights on human nature as well as comedic moments of irony and wit.
