About this listen
A catastrophic EMP attack sends the United States back to the Dark Ages.
Amidst this chaos, Ayden and his sister Clara have fled a collapsed New York. They must now navigate the perilous ruins of a civilization governed by the law of the gun. Their survival hinges on outmaneuvering relentless enemy forces threatening to engulf them in the shadow of war. Together, they must draw strength from one another and the bonds they forge with allies in this brutal struggle.
Meanwhile, thousands of miles away in the rugged landscapes of Wyoming, a different battle rages. Mia, Ayden's girlfriend, confronts her own nightmare. Trapped in a deadly game of cat and mouse with a vindictive psychopath, she fights not just for her survival but to reunite with her children lost in the storm of chaos.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. Except, perhaps, for Winston Smith. Whilst working at the Ministry of Truth, rewriting history, he secretly dreams of freedom. And in a world where love and sex are forbidden, where it’s hard to distinguish between friend and foe, he meets Julia and O’Brien and vows to rebel.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Story
In the not-too-distant future, a 21-member crew launches from Earth. Their mission: to establish a temporary colony on Mars. Little do they know that colony will become permanent–and the last stand of the human race. Because, without warning, every single person left on Earth simply...vanishes. Now, a thousand years later, the resources needed to sustain life are running out, and the very existence of the Mars colony is threatened. Humankind has only one option–to return to its home planet.

What is War? Nobody can really say. “Everybody was in a different War. Nobody's War is quite the same as anyone else's.” These words were from a Vietnam Veteran counselor. Truer words have never been spoken, so in this book we don't try to answer the question. Instead we bring you thoughtful stories not only of War, but the people affected, and the aftermath. In this book you'll find stories of alternative Wars as imagined by 26 authors of speculative fiction. Perhaps some of them will provide some insight into why we keep repeating what simply seems like a really bad idea.

Gods are not meant to die. They're supposed to be immortal, too powerful to be struck down or wither to dust like the people of Golarion. It has been more than a century since Aroden, god of humanity, met his mysterious doom, and his death ushered in a new era of uncertain prophecy and turmoil—the Age of Lost Omens. Now another god has died, his death broadcast across the skies in a metaphysical projection of his murder reverberating over any world on which he was worshipped. And from his rent corpse falls the Godsrain, a torrent of the god's blood and divine essence.

They control the remnants of the crashed starship that brought humanity to this new world. The Dusters… they eat Techborn dust. Now, the Techborn strength is waning. Their weapons are getting old, and radiation leaks from the aging reactors have created mutations. Some of these, like their brutish troops known as Tuskers, have proven useful—but others are abominations.

Feedback
I’ve been a fan of your books for years and have always appreciated the way you build tension and excitement through well-paced, immersive stories. However, with this series, it feels like the stakes are constantly at their peak, with one intense, life-or-death situation following right after another. After a while, I found myself thinking, “Really? Another crisis already?” Without a bit of breathing room between these dramatic events, it started to feel less believable and harder to connect with the characters’ journeys. Some quieter, reflective moments would allow the suspenseful scenes to stand out more and give readers a chance to see more layers in the characters and the world they live in. I know you have a knack for balance in storytelling, so I’d love to see that brought into this series.
