About this listen

Come Slay with Me

You need this book if:

  • You're a people pleaser by day and an overthinker by night.
  • The negative voice in your head is the meanest mean girl you know.
  • You feel broken and believe you must hide that brokenness to be loved.
  • You're tired. Like fall-down-after-running-a-marathon tired.

In this emotionally charged how-to guide, you'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll discover eye-opening lessons about:

  • The mask you're wearing. The one you hide behind when you say everything is "just fine" when it's not.
  • Your unrealistic expectations. The goal-setting tactics you're deploying to get ahead could be what's holding you back.
  • The difference between struggling and suffering. Being a mother is a struggle - it always has been - but your suffering is optional.

Brave, supportive, and insightful, the stories and advice in this book will encourage you to live more confidently, enjoy the present, and become your best self - as a woman, a mother, and beyond.

Love it!

One of the best motherhood books I’ve read/listened to. So many truth bombs and things that every mother NEEDS to know. I love it so much that this is my second time listening to it!

Funny, Powerful, Insightful, and Helpful

Reading this book was like having a conversation with my best friend. Like I sat down with my oldest confidant and she told me “Listen, cut the shit. I KNOW you, I know who you think you are, I know who you actually are, and I’m telling you: you’re great and it will be ok.”
Katherine Wintsch has tapped into an idea that by identifying the ways you yourself are holding you back, you can slay these dragons and become whole. By taking thoughtful care of yourself, you can be a better mother/wife/sister/employee/whatever. The wisdom in this book speaks directly to women and mothers, but honestly applies to everyone. I found this book incredibly enjoyable and helpful and I’m looking forward more from Katherine Wintsch!

Wow.

Excellent book. I am going to give a copy to all 4 of my children (2 girls and 2 boys) because they ALL need to learn how to slay dragons. I’m hoping they will all actually read or listen to it before becoming parents. And now to work on slaying my own dragon…..

Essential book for all women

This book is essential reading for all women, mothers or not. The author is so refreshingly honest with her own struggles and how she discovered her dragon (voice of self doubt) and courage to slay it. Her reading of her own story is very powerful. Whether you know what “dragon” you are trying to slay, or need to identify it, this book will give you insight into what is holding you back from having the happiness that you want. The exercises are quick and helpful and I learned so much about myself and my priorities. As a mom, reading this book helped me identify simple ways to take care of myself and make decisions that benefit not just me, but my family. I especially enjoyed the chapter “Raising Dragon Slayers”. As a mom of two daughters, I am now ready to talk to them about the voices of their own dragons so that they can slay too. Whether you think you need this book or not, I can assure you that you do need it. Highly recommended for all women! --Kelsey (working mom of 3)

Amen mama!

This book is just what every working mom, single mom, married mom, stay at home mom, grandmom in the world needs to read! The facts and examples of life as mom is very well thought out and researched. Its not a "niche" self-help book that only targets a few mom's, its everyone! I wish this book had been written years ago. I've already purchased hard copies to gift to my friends.

Great read, hard to listen to

Great information, loving the book but finding it hard to listen to. The narrator’s voice is somewhat monotone and robotic.
