Eye Opener about Social Anxiety!

The first thing this book thought me is that I did not know what social anxiety was. Even though I thought I did. Interestingly I thought two people that are very close to me have it, and it made me feel so good to know that they don't. Having said that, I do think we all have in certain social situations some kind of anxiety, and this book helped me to deal better with mine. I like that the author brings in personal examples, so the book is easy to understand and to relate to without all the abstract examples that I sometimes read about in other books, but they seem so unrealistic to me. This is an easy read, but with a ton of valuable insights. I can highly recommend this book.

JAM-PACKED WITH GREAT INFO! VERY HELPFUL.

I am one of those that's super shy and always socially awkward (unless I have a drink or 2 in me lol) - I can "get through it" but have to totally just "suck it up" and force myself to talk and be friendly, but I'm much more comfortable on my own so I don't have to force myself to do that. Mostly with strangers, although I always have trouble either keeping a conversation going or starting one - ending one I'm great at lol!

THIS BOOK IS GREAT!! It teaches you tons of info and tricks on recognizing and owning social skills and lots of practical tips for DOING IT. I've learned a LOT, and now hope to "go forth in the world" and use what I've learned. I feel more confident, and less awkward, and think I'll do well!

help me talk to stranger...

i usually don't talk to person next to me due to my lack of self confidence and social skills. applied the principle of this book now fully confident to start small talk with person next to me.

Social Skills

I was given this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

This is a really important topic and a great book to meet the need. Social anxiety is so prevalent. We don't know how to hang out anymore, or to make friends. At least I don't. This book has good information and tips and I'm excited to apply some of the takeaways. If you struggle with social anxiety or know someone who does, pick up this book.

Wow, lots of great info!

Really surprised at how much info is crammed into this book. It took a little bit for me to get used to the author's straightforward style, but there's a lot to cover and she likes to get right to the point. I learned a lot about Social Anxiety (I had no idea there were different types), and I really appreciated all the advice on how to deal with it. I'm actually getting more serious with meditation now and I can definitely see the benefits.

It's a longer book but the narrator goes pretty fast, so it goes by quickly, especially if you listen at 1.25x or 1.5x. like I do.

Awesome Audiobook!

This audiobook is awesome! It's full of good information and I highly recommend it. It's very thorough going into not just symptoms and possible causes of social anxiety but talking about the different treatment options and going into a lot of detail. The audiobook narrative didn't feel like a reference book but more like a trusted friend was giving you advice for overcoming social anxiety.
