About this listen

If you have a child with borderline personality disorder (BPD), you are all-too-aware of the behavioral and emotional issues that are linked to this disorder-including rages, self-harm, sexual acting out, substance abuse, suicidal behaviors, physical and emotional attacks, and more. Traditional parenting strategies that work on other kids just don't work with a borderline child. But you shouldn't lose hope. The good news is that there are parenting strategies that do work.

With this comprehensive resource, you will learn all about borderline personality disorder, how it shows up in children, adolescents, and your adult children, how to obtain proper treatment, and how to manage your child's condition at home. You'll find proven-effective strategies to help you communicate and improve your relationship with your child of any age, and, as a result, improve your own life as a parent and an individual. You'll also find real stories and advice from parents who have also experienced raising a child with BPD.

Most importantly, you'll learn how to maintain boundaries and validate your child while also meeting your own needs. Whether your child is five or 25, this book offers tools to help you and your family thrive.

Phenomenal Book!

I am a special education teacher, not a parent, but I found this to be super informative and provides a lot of practical strategies. I highly recommend this book if you have someone in your life with BPD.

Eye opening

I was at wits end with my daughter with BPD. I took everything personally. I thought I had failed. Nice to know I am not alone.

an absolute lifesaver!

I've been seeking therapy for almost a year. My therapist recommended this book and it has completely changed how I feel about BPD in my adult daughter. it has taught me how to respond to her correctly, and how to help her and I live in Harmony.

Read for your survival!! Not just for BPD, good info any issues

Geared to helping those who deal with children having borderline personality disorder but great information regardless of how minor or severe issues having both with adolescent and even adults. Really good information on communication tips and importance of self-care that truly do work. Not saying it’s easy, but not having a course of action ends up a nightmare. Worth the read/listen!!!
