About this listen

Mia

I've been trying to get that TA job ever since my senior year at college. I'm in the last semester of my Master's degree and finally got the job. The only problem is our new professor is a sexy, middle-aged, brilliant writer and an even better teacher.

He runs the English department, and now he's my boss, my professor, and the center of every last one of my fantasies. There's no way I should want him this much, but it's those dang glasses, and that smile, and that little dimple in his chin.

I was swooning the moment I met Professor Harlo, but the moment he opened his mouth, I fell in love.

Owen

This is the last thing I wanted. I'm fresh off a divorce, and with two kids and two demanding careers, I don't have the time or energy for this.

Except, this girl sticks inside my brain like ABC gum, and I can't shake her. It doesn't help that we're crammed in my office grading papers several days a week for hours at a time. The whole innocent thing she has going on kept me away, but she's a writer, too, and I made the mistake of reading her half-finished romance book.

Unfortunately for me, the things I love about this girl are her mind and spirit, and those are the two things I can't say no to.

This was so captivating. Love a good professor romance, this one had really good levels of plot to it, too.

I love how the author has a way of making a seemingly taboo situation seem ok and even desirable. In both books in this series, they gave a good 15 to 20-year gap between the FMC and MMC but made sure that the women were not young minded and actually quite mature. They also showed the men as being vulnerable in their idea and experience with love. EVERYTHING about them just fit.

I loved listening to two intellectual bookworms flirt, seduce each other, and fall in love. Mia was a sweetheart who allowed herself to explore her desires, let go of others' expectations for her, and go for what she wanted, i.e., OWEN.

Owen wasn't fooling anyone with his grumpy strict professor act. He gave off flirty vibes to me, especially once he started commenting on her romance book and kisses. I loved how much he was in awe of her and never made her feel inferior. Being divorced from a mismatched marriage, having someone like himself was a breath of fresh air.

The kink in this book was 🔥💦. It's always great to see a couple explore each other's desires and be as freaky as they want without judgment between them. Speaking about freaky, the end of that double date scene with his ex-wife Paula had me wanting it to be more 🫣. Lol.

Anywhoo, great book, and I didn't mind the narrator's. They kept me interested.

Loved the older guy aspect of the book! Great narrators and great story. I listened to it quick because I wanted to know how it ended. Really loved the epilogue that tells you about how things turn out in later years!

Really good book

This was a favorite of mine.
I loved the voice of the male narrator! Sometimes I don’t care for the narrators and I therefore don’t purchase the book.
This story gave me a perspective on “deep thinkers” and how their minds work.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Age doesn’t matter when real love is in the midst !

I had high hopes for this story. I was bummed it turned out horrible..the story and plot had potential. Teacher /student trope, how could it be bad right !? Welp it was. Sometimes I would find it possibly starting to gain momentum, but nope! The FMC dialog, not to mention the weird sometimes accents used. it was cringy. I could finish. Shame too, cause I have enjoyed this authors other books
