About this listen
True happiness is an "inside job". Look at a happy person's life and you don't see any magic or unicorns. There's nothing in them that isn't also in you. Though external realities can certainly play a role, happiness doesn't spring from what you have, what happens to you, the situation you are in, where you are, or anything else. In fact, if it was easy to be happy, this book would be a very short one!
Happiness doesn't have much to do with money, with achievement, or with possessions, because plenty of people have all three and are still not happy. In this guide, we'll approach happiness not as something you have, but something you actively do, each and every day.
The 7 Habits of Exceptionally Happy People will help you to:
- Understand and apply the key principles of living a happy life in an easy step-by-step way
- Let go of things, thoughts, behaviors, and people that do not serve you anymore
- Identify and use your unique strengths and virtues
- Realize that "huffy fluffy" concepts such as forgiveness, gratitude, and mindfulness are actually extremely powerful
- ...and much more inside!
Learn how to love your life and become a happier person today! Are you ready?

The dieting industry makes it seem like losing weight is some sort of rocket science. And so it's understandable that when someone seems to stay slender, it must obviously be because they're just naturally that way. By accident, even. We assume some special innate characteristics mean they get to run circles around the laws of physics, eat junk food, and end up with flat abs. The truth, though? Nobody is naturally thin.

Story
Do you ever look at people who are successful, healthy, and happy and wonder what their secret is? Why you can't be like that? After more than a decade-long struggle with emotional eating, depression, and low self-esteem, I realized that the reason I couldn't be happy like the people I envied was that I didn't love myself. For me, developing self-love has been profoundly healing. I can hardly believe how effortless it has been for me to quit overeating, exercise daily, attract a loving relationship, and more.

If you're reading this, you've tried countless platitudes that didn't seem to work for you because they are just platitudes and don't address the underlying issue. All flash, no substance. But becoming a positive person doesn't have to be difficult. In fact, it's way easier than you think. But don't take my word for it. A study by researchers at the University of Stanford uncovered how a positive attitude, literally, made the brain work better and improved cognitive abilities.

The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Story
Just before Christmas in 1843, a debt-ridden and dispirited Charles Dickens wrote a small book he hoped would keep his creditors at bay. His publisher turned it down, so Dickens used what little money he had to put out A Christmas Carol himself. He worried it might be the end of his career as a novelist. The book immediately caused a sensation. And it breathed new life into a holiday that had fallen into disfavor, undermined by lingering Puritanism and the cold modernity of the Industrial Revolution.

Story
The 10 enlightening (and often humorous) lectures of Medieval Myths and Mysteries will show you how far from the “dark” times of legend these centuries were. Uncover the facts about the Knights Templar. Reveal the truth behind the tales of legendary creatures like the Questing Beast and the unicorn. Trace the events of the Black Death and the ways it altered the world in its wake, and much more. With Professor Armstrong, you will dig deep into the ways that later generations reshaped the narrative of the medieval years and perpetuated the myths.

enjoyed listening to this book
Let me tell you the best part about this book. I have listened to a lot of Personal Development books, and with all of them, it seems the author was a "coach" or "success" first, and then thought..."Hey, I'm going to write a book about my success principles." With this book, Ingrid Lindberg is an author first, coach second. Her writing style is far superior than other books I have read. I kind of want to be her friend.

Great content and very helpful... but I do not like the the narrator... her voice and the way she speaks is quite annoying. I did not enjoy Nancy wick at all.

Happy book
This is The 7 Habits of Exceptionally Happy People, A Powerful Approach to Happiness by Ingrid Lindberg, narrated by Francie Wyck
This was my first audiobook by Ingrid Lindberg. This was a very good book on habits of happy people. I liked it and enjoyed the whole duration, which is just enough to get useful tips, 1 hour. The book seems useful with many tips on personal development. Everybody is responsible for his happiness and direction of how things develop in life. Happiness can be learned. Fake it till you make it.
Francie Wyck narration style added the enjoyment in listening to this book. She has the pleasant, nice voice which was complementary to the content of the book. She even sounded happy narrating the book. Pace and intonation are very good. Her narration definitely contributed to my pleasure which is shown in the overall rating. I will definitely like to read/listen more of books narrated by Francie. Recommended to everybody.
I would recommend this book to people who want the self-improvement book for leisure time.
