Publisher's summary

Why did Uden ever want to come to the mainland? Life in The Realm is hard when you have rent to pay. Azure explores various ways of making money but quickly finds that bounty quests are where the real loot is at. The only problem is that most of the bounty quests are classified as Very Hard, which has proven to come with the risk of death.

Follow Azure as he gets robbed, finally learns magic, makes new friends and enemies, and meets a character that turns The Realm upside down.

there getting better

the main character still moans and whines but it is getting better.
the same info gets repeated so many times that it seems the narrator is even getting tired of it. it's as if the writer is trying to pad out the story.
if you can get past all that it's not a bad story.

great improvement

okay this is an honest review for a code i received.

First off the bad same things in every sentence with a new character just repeated words like asshole knight or a certain look/expression was the only thing that really really drove me nuts. second was how much greed I feel is forced upon the world but that could be the main point just something that is blah.. haha

so some things that are not the author or narrators fault is the, main characters decisions are so real you want to bonk him on the head for his stat allocation or choices on making money.

I loved this book I wont lie and the ending....woah cliffhanger

Pleasant

I like the fact that it's not all dungeon adventuring. You have fishing and gathering. Reminds me of WoW. Actually felt bad for the knight because he ended up being honorable. Uden is back and now another person from Earth. Leggo!

A fantastical story, and great performance!

A fun take and twist on on fantasy and trapped in a video game.

Quality narrator but that’s it

I picked up the first 4-5 books of this series intent on giving them a good solid try and ignoring the people calling them half finished or partial novels. Honestly I would have been better off if I’d just heeded their warnings. While the nation is well done and I have no problems with it that is basically all I can say positively about the series. If you don’t mind the idea of paying multiple times the price you generally expect for a “goodish” story then I’d say read them on KU if you can stand to read them without the narrator doing their best to make up for a poor story. Honestly the first 3-5 books should all be ONE book and most likely even beyond that because this author repeats himself endlessly and needs a major editing overhaul there’s so much back and forth that is really pointless and in the second book and afterwards it seems like plot decisions are made on the author’s whim and not necessarily AT ALL in line with the characters own ethos or attitudes! It’s almost like the author say down with a predetermined idea of where he wanted to take the story and then his imagination and characters tried to become more than he was willing to let them be and he just shoved everything back into his little boxes where he thought he wanted them and it all turned into as my mom would say jokingly “One mell of a hess!” My simple opinion having read several of them is easily summed up as ‘don’t bother there are hundreds of other stories by far better authors out there!”

I was somewhat disappointed

I haven’t even made it that many chapters in, and the main character keeps waving on their values or morals of life. I can’t get behind that.
