About this listen

A revolutionary, proven program to prevent Alzheimer's disease and reverse the symptoms of cognitive decline, from two award-winning neurologists - the codirectors of the Alzheimer's Prevention Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

Alzheimer's disease is devastating and increasingly widespread. More than 47 million people are living with Alzheimer's worldwide. Ten percent of adults over the age of 65 will develop some form of dementia, and doctors predict more than half of adults will be diagnosed with the disease by age 85. Despite the terrifying statistics, the truth is 90 percent of Alzheimer's cases are preventable through lifestyle factors.

Through rigorous clinical studies and research helping thousands of patients, Dean and Ayesha Sherzai - neurologists, researchers, and codirectors of the Alzheimer's Prevention Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles - have uncovered the key lifestyle components contributing to this worldwide epidemic. They've also developed a solution - The Alzheimer's Prevention Program - to help you and your loved ones avoid developing this terrible disease and even reverse cognitive decline.

The human brain is a living universe that responds to what you feed it, how you treat it, when you challenge it, and the ways in which you allow it to rest. This much-needed, revolutionary audiobook shows you how to live in a way that promotes the health of your brain and your body and adds vibrant years to your life. With The Alzheimer's Solution, the future of your cognitive health is now within your control.

Not Bad

Information is a little out of date. However, the direction is correct. Emphasizing lifestyle changes clearly helpful. It was not difficult to understand, and covered the basics. I question the emphasis on plant-based diet.

Valuable, Actionable Information!

I bought this book because my parents are 80 and beginning to suffer from slow thinking and memory deficits. I have vacillated repeatedly over the years between plant based nutrition and animal proteins for a healthy brain but this book pretty well puts that debate to an end. I highly recommend The Alzheimer's Solution for anyone who wants to keep their brain functioning optimally throughout their life.

Interesting Read

I like the narrator's voice and the subject content, but I'm not sure these authors have the breath of knowledge to qualify as experts on this subject. this is about the 10th book I've read on nutritional biochemistry and each other seems to say something entirely different with equal conviction. I think I'm done with this genre.

A must it is shocking

Except that the narrator can’t always pronounce Alzheimer’s correctly the book is excellent and everyone should listen before it is too late to prevent the disease. Awesome

A wealth of information

So happy to have found this book. My mother has Alzheimer’s and I found that I have the APO e4 gene. Add that I’m a woman and I am looking for anything I can do to change my chances of getting Alzheimer’s. I’m very thankful to have this information and will try to implement as many of these ideas as I can. I’ve asked mom if she would change her diet which is full of sugar but she said if I took it from her she would just hide it. I bought her a recumbent bike but she won’t use it. So I don’t believe I can change her life’s course. But I will try to change mine
