The Change for My "Second Act" (rest of my life)

We're in the pandemic and God's blessed me with this opportunity to re-evaluate my health. What Dr. Fuhrman's book suggests isn't too far off from where I'm eating now, a few tweaks. I'm going Gradual!

Valuable information on nutrition

I love Dr. Fuhrman ! The only thing I didn’t like about this book was that it wasn’t read by Dr. Fuhrman and the person narrating mispronounced quite a few words and it was quite distracting.

I enjoyed learning and relearning about nutrition! I'm down 45lbs so far! I have more energy and less pain!

A Dr. Fuhrman summary

This book summarized everything Dr. Fuhrman believes really well, including some new updates and recommendations! I plan on implementing a lot of the suggestions in it. I agree with others though that the narrator should have been Dr. Fuhrman himself. The reader for this book made so many pronunciation errors, some made me laugh out loud! But it doesn’t take away from the amazing info in the book. Also I loved the testimonials, they were very motivating.

Helpful. Life Changing. Doable.

Love the updates!
I am a Hawaiian women living in Honolulu who was raised to believe that my obesity was due to my ethnic background.
I had just finished listening to Dr. Furhman's book "Eat To Live" and have been living as a nutritarian for 20 days now... then I saw that this book is one of Dr. Fuhrman's staff favorites (I can see why!).
In 17 days I had already lost 12 pounds. This book helped me to sharpen my knowledge and answered questions such as what exact supplements to take and why. Yesterday was my first dose of B12, today I literally ran and couldn't keep up with myself haha!! I have so much good energy.
This book is a must listen/must do - if you are interested in bettering your body and mind.
I had no known health issues but God knows why I have been introduced to this profound way of life.
Even if I don't live until a 100 or 90 years old, I'd like to thank you Dr. Fuhrman & audio - for today, yesterday and tomorrow. I have never felt this good in all my adult life (turned 41 yrs old 3 days ago)! I have never been able to feel my hip bones due to excess fat - I can now! only 20 days in. Mahalo nui loa 🤍🌿🙏🏽

Great book

Only thing is I wish it was more hands on with the diet protocol.
It spoke of the diet the whole book and didn’t really get into suggestions for meals until the last chapter.
I did not download the extra materials yet and I am sure that will give me more information.
I was so interested in the the book I just kept listening.

Great info, not too dry

The information was great! Dr. Fuhrman put more of his heart into this book, so some emotion shows through, which I loved.

The narrator wasn't too dry, (which can happen in science books.) He kept a lively enough tone, just mispronounced some medical conditions.

The dispersed, lengthy testimonials inspired and encouraged. I liked how they usually fit the theme of the chapter into which they were inserted.

Reached the finish line!

After 40+ years of reading on how to eat healthy, I've finally reached the diet I consider the healthiest. Listening to this book was very enlightening and rnjoyable. I will listen to eat many times just to make sure I don't miss any important detail. Thank you Dr. Fuhrman.

Very Good but you don't need them all.

This book like all of Dr. Furman's books is very good however if you have one of the others like Eat To Live, or The End Of Heart Disease, or The end of Diabetes then you don't need this one. In my opinion this book is a more detailed and more technical version of the aforementioned books. The basis is the same. I did enjoy the book, but found it a little more difficult to listen to. If you don't have one of Dr. Furman's books then I highly recommend getting one of the others first. his nutritarian diets do work and I too have my own story that proves it.
