About this listen

After surviving an encounter with the Beast, the pinnacle of power in the Nexeus, Salvos decides she still needs to get stronger.

But power does not come easy, especially at the higher levels. Fortunately for Salvos, she has made an enemy out of the Demon King himself, and she will take advantage of his animosity towards her. If the Deathsquad Hunters want to come for her head? She will welcome them with open arms.

In the Mortal Realm, Edithe campaigns for the United Coalition of the Human Lands to take the remaining Demon threat seriously, while Daniel finds himself being hunted down by a group of Elite Elves. As for Rachel, she learns that even with the departure of Salvos, the Mortal Realm remains a dangerous and tumultuous place with calamities lurking around the corner. Just like Salvos, Rachel understands that she needs to become stronger.

To live up to her name as the Child Monster.

This is book twelve of the Salvos series!

Feels rushed

the book is good though it feels rushed as you can see it's not that long. A good part is some of the chapters that felt like filer are gone but we used to get more about our heros. We used to get more about their thoughts and feelings of what's going on. I'm not sure of it's just because we're in the demon realm so all demons seems to go along with the MC plans.

Off my chest

Ok, I'm not one to make reviews, but this is something that's irking me.

I love this series. it's one of my favorite litrpg series besides the primal hunter. I love he interesting characters, the gray morality of some of the main characters, and I love the fact that the hero of the story is a demon instead of the typical human hero.

But I have to say that I'm kinda disappointed in the drop of quality in the author's writing. it's not really me wanting to complain, but more like me wondering if the author is ok? are they going through burnout?

my issues are as thus: for the last 3 books, there has been a massive cut to the typical book length. it went from 19 hours average to 9-10.

there's also been a straight decline in the rewriting itself. the author has taken to this bad habit of repeating things so much that it's actually getting kinda annoying. I know what "the world of my mind" does dude. you've explained it at least once every chapter that has salvos as the focus.

my last issue has to be the "clickbait" associated with the last 2 books. I was so excited when I read the description of book 11 and learned that we would be getting a bit of focus on a character that's been pretty underutilized since she was introduced. Rachel seems like a potentially good character. but for he past 2 books, shes been made out like the focus of the story. For gods sake this book is named based on her. but all she gets is a handful of chapters between both books.

I will continue listening to this series, but I hope the author gets some rest to think the writing through.

A bit short but still great.

Not much to dislike other than the short listen would love to have more than 10 hours to listen to Salvos is one of the best stories.

Good story and performance but seems incomplete.

while this series continues to be well written i believe that this story as well as the last were incomplete. it feels like the author is being rushed to keep outputting books instead being able to take the time he needs to really do what he wants. seeing as this one just released and the next is already visible, i think this trend may continue sadly.
