You're about to discover how the re-emergence of the real estate market sparked renewed optimism in construction. Across different states in the country, residential construction jobs are being undertaken to satisfy housing demands. Since residential construction projects are still a business (except when you want to build your own home), the idea is to build enough living spaces and to offer them to prospective clients or lessees at affordable prices.

Of course the success of such a goal still lies on income and the general economic outlook, but one thing is for certain: now that the housing crisis is over, more people will look forward to getting a place to call home.

In this audiobook, we'll talk about the construction project management life cycle. We'll also cover contracting and contract management, the participants involved in a construction job, and the critical success factors in every contracting job.

This audiobook is produced for both project managers and for homeowners who wish to build residential properties; the concepts discussed herein are general, but are important when it comes to approaching the construction process.

Just an overview

Was hoping they spoke with Dave deeper into the logistics of planning, hiring, material, procurement, security, dropdead dates, expectations, change, orders, Management, etc.

Decent book to get excited about construction project management, but not a book I would recommend if you want to deep dive it

General knowledge

This book lightly touches general topics with a very short and brief overview of those topics. I would venture to say that an individual with very little knowledge of how construction management works would benefit from this, however, if an individual has some amount of experience, this is not the book for them to further their knowledge.

Great book

Although only short, the book covers a lot and stresses important details, I’m a developer in the Uk and everything applies here minus some small points about room sizing, etc

Comprehensive Construction PM Information

A five-star valuable, no nonsense essential source of construction PM information and reference guide. Although the narrator did a good job, the delivery style of the information was a bit too rapid-fire in my humble opinion. I wish the narrator would have paused 1-2 seconds longer between sentences to allow the listener a little more time to absorb the detailed and at times complicated construction PM information shared by the narrator. Often, it felt a bit like drinking from a fire hose of construction PM information. Overall, this Audible book is a must-have resource for any level construction Project Manager.

Good book, but needs a bit of improvement

Too many first letters of words got swallowed and the contents is probably too general for me, but it's a very good starting point to the world of Project Management.

Very broad and lacking depth!

It was good from the sense of outlining key components that are needed in running a successful business, but lacked the how to information that helps to one understand how task relate to each other and how successful processes are a constant work in progress.
