About this listen

How many of us have been told after we graduated that what you studied in books is one thing, and how it works in reality is something different! This audiobook is a complete guide that takes you through all phases of a project. From its inception, through design, all the way to construction completion, teaching the concepts from a real life everyday perspective. It will give you the step by step best practices, injecting that element that no one talks about: human nature, egos and agendas. Don't kid yourself, when you manage projects, you will be managing people more than construction.

Whether you just started or already a practicing professional, this audiobook will benefit you immediately.

I am new to construction management. I’ve managed my own flips for a couple years. Now transitioning to RE/construction/development full time this was a great insight into the CM world as a high level overview. Lots of helpful insight.

Great overview

This book is thorough and straightforward. The manner in which information is separated makes it easy to locate specific information. As a business consultant working with a client in construction for the 1st time, this book was heaven sent.

Thorough and straight to the point

narrator and name and lack of reviews made me suspicious but in the end it was surprisingly informative. I listened at 1.7x and still took it all in. good short book

I picked up this book because I'm buying a home and plan to do a fair amount of remodeling so I was interested in learning the lingo of the construction management field and understanding how the professionals operate. The content overall is decent, but honestly just buy the physical book or get a different audiobook.

the book says that it is narrated by the author which is partially true but nearly every other chapter the books which is over to an alternative narrator while keeping the first person semantics.

the authors English is understandable but has some distracting quirks of a non-english speaker. it's weird because it's obvious he's just reading the book but he's still leaves in in proper English. the woman who narrates is much clearer but her audio quality is terrible at times and you can literally hear the pages turning and things going on in the background at times which threw me off.

I read a lot of audio books on audible and they're typically pretty high quality I don't usually leave reviews but I felt the need because hearing the production quality I feel like my credit was wasted.

Decent primer on construction management sabotaged by the worst recording/production I've heard on audible.
