About this listen

The remnants of Duke de Clairmont's army are surrounded by enemy legions under the command of Ricardo di Lorenzo, otherwise known as the Golden Lion. Marshal de Clairmont himself is badly wounded, and already at death's door.

Duke de Bauffremont and Duke de Gondy have assembled their forces on the border between Bergonia and Vestonia, and now, under Prince Philippe's leadership, this army is about to march off to rescue the surrounded Vestonian force. But that won't be enough to beat the Golden Lion in the field. They're going to need help from another army—one which, against all odds, has managed to defeat the Atalians in three separate battles, and take control of the old Imperial road.

Max already has what he came for: his path to the Margraviate de Valier is clear. And he has enough people to take control of his new lands. But the war in Bergonia isn't over yet . . . And while Max has his own mission to attend to, he also knows exactly where the Golden Lion will turn his attention once he defeats Prince Philippe's army.

That means there's really only one option for Max: he needs to destroy this threat once and for all . . .

These books are so well written and very engaging. I just wish they were about twice as long.

Another great addition

Well written Mc and characters, engaging story. Great all around. It’s hard to stop listening.

Fantastic

ive enjoyed the steady progression of this series. while this book did not step forward as much as I'd like in the story it certainly moved enough to keep me entertained. so many other fantasy and Litrpg series these days go nowhere fast that these books are a true light in the dark. can't wait till the next book. just wish they were longer haha

satisfying progression

and awesome story. I love watching the mc apply common sense tactics to quickly wipe the faces of smug nobles

awesome MC

Great can’t wait for the next book, I wish that the gaps between books wasn’t so long

Too short

As this series continues the storyline expands and becomes very interesting. In fact, this series is one of the first of what I call “Russian Isekai soap opera”. I think right now I’m reading like six of them. And most of them are quite good.

Another excellent book in the series

Good book but it really felt like not a lot happened. I understand how the story had to be told, and I even understand that it's a lead-up into something grander... but the book felt incomplete. There was no climax.
I hope the next book has something more exciting in store!

good but not fulfilling

Continues to amaze me every chapter without losing interest... can't wait enough to get the next book

awesome

So many weak-to-strong rpg authors think that they have to turn their MCs into mealy-mouthed pu$$ies. I guess it’s partly to make the MC more ‘relatable’ because most real people are weak, out of shape, unathletic etc. Osadchuk doesn’t do that. His MC dominates in every situation and acts like a man, not some weak-willed pu$$y. Combine that with an impeccable storyline and truly gifted cultural awareness and this book series absolutely ROCKS. Couldn’t be happier, can’t wait til the next book comes out!

FINALLY!!! An MC who dominates!

Love the story and pace, I do wish it was longer tho, but I can wait to see the territory building

Good but short
